A friend recommended that I watch this first since it was already done. I saw that it was the actor Chen Xing Xu from Goodbye My Princess. I’ve watched his other dramas before and this seemed a little different, so I was like okay I’ll give it a try. Not gonna lie, it was hard to get through it in the beginning because they were doing murder mystery so it was sort of slow for me. Things started getting interesting when the ML secretly started renting the FL’s apartment. He was doing this for some inspiration for a competition. The ML plays a character in the murder mystery game. That’s where they first met. She becomes enamored with him that she keeps going back to play just to see him. Little did she know that he’s the one renting her place and he’s the CEO of the company Dynamism. It was one of the architecture companies she admired since she wanted to be an architect herself. She ended up getting hired in his company. It’s really funny how she ended up going back to her apartment and that’s where the roommate trope comes in. The leads were pretty cute. I love their chemistry so much. Hot and sizzling. I don’t know how many times they have kissed here. No dead fish kisses. I repeat. NO DEAD FISH KISSES. Lu Yuxiao sure knows how to play her roles. She’s so cute. I love her in My Journey to You and Love in the Clouds. She always has amazing chemistry with every male lead she works with. I love how it ended, too. No weddings. No kids. Just the two of them hugging each other up on the building rooftop. One of the best dramas ever. Sweet and heartwarming.
