When Wen Zhao was in Lv Shao’s body she seduced and slept with Lv Zun correct? That means Lv Shao’s body has had s#x with the brother and could have gotten pregnant by HIM. How do we know that this didn’t happen? Couldn’t the baby be Lv Zun and Wen Zhao’s offspring that also moved bodies when they switched back? None of this information was disclosed to Lv Shao or the Emperor. Lv Shao’s biological body has had s#x with the brother and she doesn’t know about it.
According to the story when Lv Shao was in Wen Zhao’s body she slept with Emperor BUT when they switched back to their real bodies the baby (which I’m sorry would be biologically Wen Zhao’s and the emperors) remained behind. Is it really Lv Shao’s child just because her soul was in that body when biologically the body is Wen Zhao’s?
This is really messed up…. What a ridiculously stupid script! Dumb ending as well. Shao just leaves “her baby” and the Emperor to wander the world and Zhao also leaves so the child now has no mother. Who is the mother anyway really?
The FL is going to manage the ML's harem, and the only girl in it is Jiang Si.
Yes, what was that? Thought she was going to be the only woman/wife for ML but now she is going/willing to manage his harem for him? Made no sense to me that she would say that especially when she originally wanted to live a peaceful ordinary life with him. I don’t recall them discussing the possibility of him becoming Emperor and how that would change their relationship. Concubines are required so many offspring can be produced. She is fine with that now? Ridiculous. they shouldn’t have thrown that in.
Love or not I don’t know why someone as strong minded a character as she is supposed to be would just sign on for that. He accepted being Emperor when she wasn’t even around and didn’t discuss it with her at all then she remains free and on her own for a year just to come back and be Empress and manage his harem? Illogical.
Waahh this is my type of drama! So far so good! Not steeped in palace intrigue, harem wars nor a sappy puppy whipped ML. Both ML and FL are strong and clever. No reckless ill thought out stupid actions by a FL who is “supposed” to be strong but needs the ML to continuously rescue her from rash behavior. Quality and logic so far!
lol, it’s 2007, not 1990s. also you might not heard dental is quite cheap in Asia lol. and with high competitions,…
I’m not the person who started talking about the 1990’s….just to clarify.
Yep, they have a lot of fake braces too. I certainly know people prioritize “looks” over food etc. I’ve seen it first hand.
All I was saying is that it doesn’t make sense to me in the context of the story. I wonder how those teeth would turnout without visits to the orthodontist. They need to be tightened with wires regularly to make them move. Continually shifting the teeth can damage the tooth roots as well. You could lose your teeth altogether if you damage the roots.
This story clearly wants to turn the ugly duckling into a swan. The author and producers want to demonstrate it no matter what even if it contextually doesn’t make sense. Perhaps they can throw in some plastic surgery as well, just kidding.
Reality vs fiction. The magic of storytelling but I thought this was to depict a time of history of families who lived and survived along the canal in China. Thus, I was putting too much emphasis on reality. My bad. I need to think more along the lines of Cinderella.

Ok I grew up poverty line poor so I do have some experience. There are people who will buy a luxury car etc. then complain they can’t eat or pay rent. Yes, it certainly reflects priorities. It is not an issue of whether they can or can’t have things or whether they are allowed.
you might not know but in many places braces are not so expensive
Ok well if that’s what the author said….. Even if the author put braces in the story it doesn’t mean it is logical or an accurate portrayal of these families undergoing these hardships during that period of time in China.

I’m aware there was economic expansion in China in the 90’s (I was very much alive then). Guess braces were more important than buying meat for a month and fighting over how you could live with no income. It doesn’t line up for me.

Perhaps but even so they are destitute. This seems to be contrived. I get it she is supposed to be an unattractive tomboy. However none of the other characters have braces.
I’m just saying it’s overdone imo. They could have done enough with makeup and a short blunt haircut. I’m just saying I think they overdid it.

What a waste of time
