BK doesn't know how to love others expect to want them for his happiness, he saw his dad supposed love for his mother, himself and his stepmom.
His dad uses his son to marry a sick girl so he can grow his business.
look at his dad and stepmom love or how his dad doesn't even remember his mother, their supposed "love" all selfish and toxic.
I wish BK learn in the end, love needs sacrifice too. love supposed to be mutual not one side for your benefit like how his dad learns him. ain't no one can stand one side love for years, Dan Oh did it for 10 years because she was out of her mind and "programmed" to love him even when he harassed her. one of the reason BK so hard to change is that too, he so used to loved by Dan Oh for 10 years. look at episode 11 when he says to Dan Oh "You only smiled at me" he noticed now too late and she can't do that anymore.
if you want ppl to fill your loneliness you need to stop harassing them for attention, you need to treat them nicely like how DH, Haru, and DH treat ppl around them.
I love how writes portray BK, its complicated and messed up and the actor did AMAZING job.
Start of Episode 11 when he sits all alone and look at Dan Oh empty bed in hospital, his eyes filled with tear and suddenly little BK run to Dan Oh, you can see from his expression he lost an important part of his life and its all his fault, now too late and he can't CB anymore, he lost all his chances.
Little BK wanted Dan Oh to know the meaning of that flower instead say it to her directly when she asks about the meaning he starts to hurt her. Remember what Haru says to BK "are you love Dan OH?!" BK can't even answer but Haru say so directly "because I do" this is what bk lacking

Haru and BK, two people so opposite each other, like fire and water. we cant compare

I see many ppl so against BK but he and Haru so opposite each other actually make the drama work and more interesting and less flat
You can compare them and see how a healthy rs look like compared to a toxic one
He is such a great character
Funny almost all famous ml in drama world treat their partners like BK or Nam Joo and they are pretty popular everywhere and no one care
Glad this drama point it out so clearly and question their behaviors and how those behaviors normalized by viewers and fans. still, don't get why those ML so popular wished everyone against them like how we against BK Dan Oh rs

but I love how you can see the writer so against their love and freedom yet they never stop trying to be free even after thousands of years
they still trying, want to be themselves and go against all rules, break them, the rules make Haru kill his loved one because of the forbidden love they have for each other
Haru says many time, he will never stop trying and he learn it from Dan Oh, she makes him begin to become a person with an idea and will, an obedient guy without any will or wish in life, a slave who only listen to his master, Dan Oh free him so he will never stop
