I definitely do want a S3 but I hope they continue the essence of S1 and not s2
Unfortunately, as long as one of the original writers Yeo Jina doesn’t come back, we won’t be getting S3 with the essence of S1. After watching S2, her leaving TUC is truly a loss for us. :(
Things I’m not satisfied about (and I’m sure I’m not the only one):
1. The new counter, Jeokbong’s character showed no significant development.
2. The story focused too much on the villains at some point.
3. The piano guy made appearance in the finale - no significant reason, IMO. Closure? He already had his closure after what Hana did to save him.
4. The writers deciding not to develop Hana-Somun relationship dynamics further, after they started it first in S1 - a big loss, as more than half of TUC fandoms are their shippers.
To be honest, this second season is disappointing for me, and this is coming from a TUC S1 die-hard fan who went around telling everyone to watch TUC 2 years ago.
A lot of things could be removed/added/improved to make the sequel a lot better, but well, it already happened. It’s useless to say anything contradictory to this drama at this point.
I finished this only for the original counters (they carried the show).
The only ‘Younger ML-Older FL’ trope I could truly enjoy was “Romance is A Bonus Book”. I ‘ve tried other dramas of the same trope (e.g. “The Rational Life”, “Find Yourself”, “Something in the Rain”), but I dropped all of them halfway. It shows how much I dislike this trope. 😂
But I might want to try watching this one for Xiao Zhan. He looks so cute in some clips of this drama. I’m hoping that I won’t drop this one as well. 🙏🏼
I’m still new to Cdrama land (thanks to Hidden Love that made a phenomenal trend few months ago!). This is my very first Xiao Zhan drama, which was recommended by my bestfriend who’s more experienced in Cdramaland. She said I’d fall in love with Xiao Zhan after I watch this drama. He’s her top C-actor bias (mine is Yang Yang, Bai Jingting & Li Xian 🥰).
And she was right! How could I not see a potential C-actor like him before? I love his eyes, so pretty! And his lips, and his voice just melts my heart the more I listened to him.
I just started to know Yang Zi after Go Go Squid that I watched last month. And to be honest, I like the chemistry between her and Li Xian more than her with Xiao Zhan, if I were to compare.
Overall, I’m enjoying Oath of Love (currently on Ep 23). It’s not perfect but it’s thoroughly enjoyable.
After I finished this, I badly need to watch another drama of Xiao Zhan. 🥹
If anyone is searching for dramas similar to Meet Yourself, I think I can suggest these dramas, as they’re at least 70% similar in terms of storylines/genre/mood/location settings:
1. To Me, It’s Simply You/Mon Ruk Nong Pak Ka Yang (Thai drama) 2. Hometown Cha Cha Cha (Kdrama) 3. Kikazaru Koi ni wa Riyuu ga Atte/There’s a Reason for the Love I’m Wearing (Jdrama) 4. Neechan no Koibito/Older Sister’s Soulmate (Jdrama) 5. Reply 1988 (Kdrama) 6. Reply 1997 (Kdrama) 7. A Poem A Day (Kdrama) 8. My Romance from Far Away (Thai) 9. My Forever Sunshine (Thai) 10. Sapai Import (Thai) 11. Strongest Deliveryman (Kdrama) 12. Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People (Kdrama, historical) 13. Your House Helper (Kdrama, less romance)
I hope you can enjoy these dramas like how I enjoyed them. ❤️
This is the drama that you need when you want to seek genuine peace and warmth in your life.
TBH, slice-of-life is not my preferred genre. I’d avoid this genre, most of the time. But I decided to watch this because of Li Xian, and I love it SO MUCH I ended up falling in love with other cast members.
As a graduate from Tourism Management course who is also an aspiring writer, I think this drama has succeeded in promoting Yunnan with excellent script-writing.
Even tho it’s slow, there wasn’t a single boring moment. No skipping/fast-forwarding at all. I even found myself feeling hesitant to finish this masterpiece, as if it wasn’t slow enough.
Definitely a 10/10 from me, and if it was possible I would rate it much more higher!
“if you ever feel useless, remember dohwi appeared again in the finale 🤡” - @ilovevcnzx
LMAO I’m sorry but I agree. 😭
Writer S1 udah left, jadi writer S2 beda. Emosinya ga sama kyk S1. 🥲
I truly regret jumping into S2, driven by my emotions after waiting for 2 years and a half, only to be left with disappointment in the end.

Aku masih sedih ni karna ga ada HanaMun. Terus, kenapa Si Dohwi muncul saat akhir? Ga ada gunanya LOL.
