After rewatching with my sister, I noticed that the writer has been dropping a lot of easter eggs. I agree with someone who said before, “watching this drama is like entering a maze”. LMAO but that’s what makes this drama so fun to watch and rewatch! 😆

1. The love potion - to enhance SY’s feelings that he already felt before he drank it, and change Mr Gong’s indifferent attitude towards HJ, to treating her nicely. 2. The Cure Disease Spell - SY was cured, but the spell was nullified by the black magic (the plant). 3. The Disaster Nullification Spell - INVALID 4. The Fair Skin Spell - SY noticed the difference on her skin, but JK denied because he chose to NOT want to believe in it. SY’s assistant also noticed that HJ looks prettier.

I think the writer should’ve at least shown us what made her go there alone, at least to justify WHY she did that, instead of making her look stupid to viewers.

The Fair Skin Spell also worked. Even Gi Dong, ML’s assistant noticed that FL looks prettier with clearer skin during the eco-plogging event.

I rewatched ep 2-3. I noticed ML started to feel something for FL in ep 2 and he was jealous when SML complimented FL for her good job on the City Hall board message board.
And that’s also why FL’s team leader, Mr Gong, wasn’t truly affected by the love potion even tho he drank it. He only changed his indifferent attitude towards FL, to treating her nicely.
The gardener, on the other hand, never drank the love potion, but he knew about it. He lied when he said “you remind me of my wife”, to approach her as she’s the book owner.
So then ML’s feelings towards FL became stronger/‘real’. His drunk love confession in ep 6, that’s from the bottom of his heart. That’s also when FL started falling for him. But they already started to connect when they were going to the sea to ‘meet’ FL’s dad.
So something I don’t get is why didn’t ML dispose of the plant since it’s from someone you want nothing…
If I were him, logically I wouldn’t think of throwing that plant either. It’s a plant, what could be so bad about it, right?
And he has no suspicions towards NY regarding black magic or something evil like that. What he knew at that time was: 1. She was already cheating with that snobbish guy. In fact, he found out long before, precisely, before his first kiss with FL (when she was returning the box). 2. She was a spoilt rich brat and a bimbo who wants attention.
What if the one who gave him the plant was the gardener? Of course he’d be suspicious.
Other than that, he was also too occupied with other things. Seriously speaking, something like that plant could be overlooked. Unless she gave him food or clothes, if I were him I’d throw them away or give to someone else.

Maybe my prior replies came from my emotional self because I actually hate seeing our lead characters getting hate.
I’m also enjoying this drama very much. In fact, too much, it’s beyond my initial expectations. I wouldn’t want anything changed.
It’s just that sometimes it feels frustrating to see people misunderstand the storylines and characters.
But yeah, people are not used to this kind of storytelling, which is unique and original.

3. The day that ML found out his GF cheated - what made him lose control and kissed FL (1st kiss). He just didn’t care anymore. 🤣
