In the novel it was better explained. Her father was very jealous and possessive and when she won a competition and the first person she thanked was Li Yubing, so he was mad and said "that guy that you think he likes you, look what he did 8 years ago to try to avoid you". It wasnt as dramatic as the drama. Also, Beng Cheng in the novel sent some photos of Li Yubing and Tang Xue for her father in revealing positions (it was how they like to play with each other but the photos showed sexual positions) to try to destroy the relationship between then, another reason why her father really hated Li Yubing

Exactly! Why change her father occupation? Why put her as a cousin and not a hight school love rival? Why even change the lie about divorce and not about money? Why put so many dramas about Biang Cheng? It was so much better to put the dynamic of Tang Xue, Li Yubing and Yan Yan, how funny it was they lunching together, how but hated each other but supported her so to help take of the gossip saying she's dating both, all of them showing that they are only friends. Why all the females in the drama need to love Li Yubing, why give so much screenwrite to Biang Cheng, in the novel he was the worst, a an arrogant guy that wanted to be with her the moment he wanted not thinking about her feelings and trying to destroy the relationship between them...

It was not about him lying to her 7 years ago, was more about Tang Xue seeing that she was a bully and reflect her own actions, she didnt fight to him because of a lie but because she really was thinking that she was a bad person so he shoudnt be with her cause he deserves better..
i dont understand why the drama changed so much the novel. the dynamic between FL, ML and SML was the best. they lunching together, gossip saying that she dates both, both ML and SML helping her and supporting, how she shows her vulnerability. they changed it all...the jokes between both FL and ML, how the ML helped her always and how funny and light it was.. so much better than the drama

It was funny, I finished the novel then I found out that they have a drama going on about that novel, i was so happy because i loved the actors that they chose.. but then Im quite disappointed as well.. What I loved about the novel was the funny moments..like how malicious is the FL, how the ML became so similar to the FL using tricks and playing the same game as her towards the SML.. the funny moments between the FL and her family.. but they changed everything.. the journalism guy (beng cheng) its a character in the novel as well.. he is her first love and the reason why she stopped skating in the novel.. but in the novel he isn't a journalist student.. i think he does another course and he is a quite smart but he is very arrogant.. i love how he asked her to date him that now they centered around their courses and she understood why he rejected her and she waited for him... and she said that she doesnt want him anymore and she understood and she realized that she moved on from him.. she did quite a revenge against him.. beng cheng in the novel is the antagonist and he tried to break up her relationship with the ML sending photos of them together for her father that is very restricted and possessive in revealing positions when they were only playing around but the photos if someone that didnt know about how they liked to play.. they would think that is sexual positions...

It was hinted but they werent friends like in the drama. I kinda prefer the novel.. for me the drama is great especially the actors.. for me they nailed it every single one for me is exactly how i imagined in the novel. but i prefered the dynamic of the novel.. there is a lot of funny moments and not many dramatic scenes like the drama.

Its totally different. Zhou Ran isnt her cousin, she is just a girl that she studied with in high school that liked b. cheng and is jealous of the FL because he always treated the FL better than her. And Zhang Ye is just a girl that didnt like the FL at the beginning because she got in the team with the money and help of Li Yubing, she was never a friend`s of him and she didnt even have a single connection with Li Yubing
