the screenwriters (and editors) of this drama should really kowtow to the actors who basically carried this drama. the actors don't have much traffic tbh and relies on the acting and chemistry as well as the fight scenes to attract passersby. i understand that the fight scenes are expensive but then, i saw an interview that they've filmed a lot but was not shown in the final cut. anyway, idol dramas are like this, and most screenwriters is yet to innovate despite how obvious the decline in market is which is not good, as actors' fans alone cannot sustain a drama (as proven with the data of currently airing ones).

this is not an s+ drama, this is a small s budget drama which had achieved s+ broadcasting effect. zhou ye is doing well enough as he yan. while there are others who may criticise he yan's action and character in the drama, zhou ye is atleast being recognised for her character portrayal and acting in mainland china. besides, zhou ye is the only casting widely accepted by novel fans even before the official announcement. there is already black hot search on the drama just upon airing yet no one questioned her for being the female lead. no one's cutting her some slack, even cctv is showing support for her character portrayal because she's doing well as is. this is based on facts and data, not personal feelings.

i know, i thought before that hesong just don't want to overwork her but it seems that her company is simply just laxing. she is considered a rookie monster from debut but had a hiatus for years. poor time management and wasting her prime youth. tho given zy's personality, she probably will still stay 😭
