Hasnt been completed, yet I know that i will rewatch this in a few months.
me, too! it would be nice to binge watch this. i think it will be smoother to watch this repeatedly especially since there are lots of hidden details ❤️
is it because there are two screenwriters? some scenes don’t seem to be executed well and come across as rather random. i'm impressed with the acting, chemistry, and direction (especially the martial arts, action and foreshadowing) — everything feels superb at times, but also falls flat at times. anw, just my thoughts and it does keep me on the hooks and obsessed 🤣
tbh zy and her fans don't really care about the billing as long as the character and drama is overall good. zy is even willing to wait months for a role she likes (even if it's just a supporting role) and her fanbase is generally supportive when it comes to this matter (never been involved in billing dispute and respect the announcement). no matter what, i hope both sides maintain the peace as this drama looks intriguing just based on the reuters.
they got many new accounts rating 1 star on first day and novel fans not liking the script
even baba's fans are questioning the rating for sword rose. this is not the first time, douban is no longer credible as it used to be. what matters now is the certification for a drama's broadcasting effect.
the 1 stars are from new accounts and has already been rated from start, don't bother. douban is swarmed by haters…
alas, idk what’s wrong with some people’s heads. we all have our faves, but excessively going after actors you dislike is a bit much. why hate them in the first place? if i’m not particularly fond of a drama or an actor, i won’t even comment—much less rate them. comments like “i’m dropping this” or “not a good actor” just seem like validation-seeking to me.
it's all because of these comments thirsting for the stoic he yan like plain toast. yeah, sure, serious he yan is another level of hot, but i miss the spicy ramen edition... the one with just the right kick, a little chaotic, a little sweet, and makes your heart feel warm even while she’s setting your taste buds on fire 😭🥲
the 1 stars are from new accounts and has already been rated from start, don't bother. douban is swarmed by haters (you basically can rate without even watching), wait once the broadcast is finished. the focus right now is the viewership ratings ✨
ahh i still watch clips of this series, my grandparents cp is still the best ❤️ dylan's and zhou ye's face are just raw beauty here, no unnecessary filter + their acting here is truly excellent for such rookie actors at the time. i hope they work together again.
"Every crying scene of Zhou Ye is different. In Jin Yue Ruge, as a female general, she lacks love since childhood and cannot express her emotions. So when her master, whom she regards as a relative, dies, she is unwilling to believe it. She cries in a suppressed and forbearing way, and her sobs are more heartbreaking than crying out loud."
i've actually been admiring zy's skills ever since i first watched her but he yan is the first multifaceted character she played and i feel like lotfg is that drama that showcases her talent the most (excluding her movie roles) especially on microexpressions/eye work. it made me feel that her skills had significantly improved from the last time i've seen her on screen 🥰
xu kai zhou ye drama will likely air 2026/2027 if it pass smoothly. looking forward to it as well but inner courtyard…
yes! i love love love scent of time! for me, everything in that drama is absolute perfection despite being an obvious low budget drama. in fact, having watched a lot of dramas, that is the only chinese drama that made me rate it at full score (and there is currently just four of them in my list).

i read somewhere that there's lot of modifications made since the novel is not that good (?) but yeah this is what i like about her, too. she has a really good character selection. we might see her as a businesswoman by end of the year (hello, 1983).
Xiao Jue looks like an older brother of xu kai similar eyes lashes and stern features and I just found out zhou…
xu kai zhou ye drama will likely air 2026/2027 if it pass smoothly. looking forward to it as well but inner courtyard battles do ticks me off lol and this one is emotionally heavy.
realllly good drama. the pacing the character development is soooo good. im so glad it came out at the same time…
is the plot not good? or the animation? it seems that this is targeted for male audience. although i find that it is not as steady as expected compared to sword rose (dilireba) which has also been airing in multiple platforms.
he yan is so accustomed to suppressing herself, even her pain and cries, but she broke down today. there is one less person in this world who is good to her 😭
i also really like how you can see the change in our general he yan's demeanor in the recent episodes as she's no longer pretending
