i didn't expect my replies to come off as forcing opinions, just like when you said "What are talking about... She is totally cute and that's why i don't fan of her villen or cold role" i also just express my sentiments that she had tried diverse roles which are probably unknown to you. i watched her play as a bully, a young mother, a domineering lady and in several war dramas/movies and feel like she shouldn't be generalise as an actress who acts cute because she played 1 or 2 roles like that.

i guess you still need to watch more of her works especially movies 'cause her characters are quite diverse.

scent of time is actually not all the time serious, the screenwriters pretty much insert comedic scenes here and there. i don't remember scenes that seems to be out of place (i could be bias tho 'cause it's my all time fave even if it's low budget lol) the humour must not be just for you i guess.

actually weird seeing someone comment that's she's cute haha (tho she's really a cutie in real life) in china, she's still known for her villain role and popular for her cold face that's why people prefers that she play more cool characters instead. i kinda agree with them tho 'cause she has this heroic charm.

highly agree. each character she portrays will have an impact, it will do her no good to just casually film works. the character she portrayed on her latest movie, "cheng shuang", is actually now one of the most popular movie characters in china along with "wei lai" from better days making her ranked second just next to ma li. i trust her vision ❤️
