idk how their industry becomes this competitive. every time an actor will launch a new movie or drama (whether it is expected to be a hit or not), there will be issues coming up. if a movie or drama became a big hit, the actors will also be criticised for the trivial and mundane stuff, comparisons or their past issues will be brought up. it's absurd. this is why it's best to focus on their works, it's all good as long as you find them good at their job and enjoy their outputs.

thanks for the insight. personally, i look at actors on their works and doesn't really bother with the trivial matters or speculations happening privately as long as they did not do anything illegal or immoral. what more on chinese entertainment industry wherein i think all of the actors has been under fire atleast once by marketing accounts. it's terrible, good to know her career wasn't affected. people believe what they want to believe, if they already have negative intent with you from the start, they won't let you go no matter the explanation is.

well, people shouldn't really be led by malicious posts against actors, especially on female actresses. follow chinese entertainment industry long enough and you'll just know how dark it is. most of the time, these so called 'netizens' are just internet trolls or people full of hate who kept using actors as an outlet to vent. people who follow the wind and curse on actors blindly. it's really hard to be a public figure in china. don't even start with marketing accounts who will accept money and shamelessly target actors. these people don't deserve a good night sleep lol
