So far, so good. I do love a FL who’s clearly far more powerful than she lets on—she’s not weak, she’s just practicing restraint while everyone else underestimates her. And of course, Allen is right in his natural habitat: the stoic, powerful hero who emotes so well with his eyes alone. Maybe I’m biased, but honestly, the man could probably deliver an entire emotional monologue without moving a single facial muscle.
The cinematography and camera work are good, the cast is strong across the board, and so many talented guest actors (and ahem, eye candy) .
Up to episode 8, the angst level is just right too—enough emotional scenes to keep things interesting, but not yet at the point where I need to file a personal grievance against the writers.
Ep 13 was another tearjerker but I did want the ML to floating around for a bit more. Ep 14 is just annoying because the ML is just so prejudiced. Seriously dude, he doesn’t even know who he is or what he did. Luckily we have a smarter FL who hopefully will help him through his blind bias! Edit - I just saw the ending - there’s hope for the ML!
I tried 3 times but I just could not finish this drama. Guess it’s just not for me - I am usually tolerant of female characters who are supposed to be spunky but come across as obnoxious but I just couldn’t deal with the FL and her bestie.
Just started and up to ep 10. This is such a great show and Zhou Ye shines as the determined and intelligent Xiao Lan. I also love Zhou Cheng’s character. He may be more in the background, but he shares her resilience. He is such an emotionally stable character, a calm and supportive presence.
I also enjoy watching their relationship develop so healthily, especially in the way that they communicate to each other.
Ep 11 was so bittersweet. Knowing too late, living for so long believing something completely opposite. I loved how the story unfolded and ended. But what an ending - I should have guessed it wouldn’t be so easy for the ML 😁

I will look at the lyrics for the others but I just checked out the lyrics and their meaning for the song by Zhou Shen. I guess I don't see a problem with that song.
