He was not a rich actor at that time, he was a child of a poor family who was a university student studying with debt. After his father died, he had to drop out of school to take care of his mother, and how can someone with a mother in need of care go to the army? I can't imagine a movie or a drama without him. I started Korean dramas with Lee Sun Kyun, he was my number one Korean actor.
