I just don't get it why ppl hate this drama so much. Like seriously u guys are mad... It was among one of the…
You presented such a direct question, of which there are many answers, but fair not be to you, if I don't attempt to try my best version. First we need to entertain the supposition that those who disliked the drama are angry. This is an interesting hypotheses, and one that may or may not incur the more exploratory scientific method. Alas, in the end we discuss emotions, which at the current technology can only be expressed with cute emoticons, but scientifically we cannot quite measure the outrage of human beings... at least not yet...
Let us enter into the realm of human being theory, philosophy if you will. Do human beings who dislike a certain thing become angry or crazy(Mad has dual meaning does it not?) due to their dislike? Let us try to super impose this example into your own pscyhe so to speak. You are appear distressed that a show you love, nay, adore is under hate by certain community members, outstanding or not, we can't decree. So we asked you in the simplest term found on the world wide internet that I have perused from hours of human studies, "Are you mad Sir/Ma'am?" Your answer here is of utmost importance because it will allow us a control subject for our further theoretical experiments. And if your answer is "yes", the follow up question is "why". What's interesting in this point is the word "mad" has dual meaning, both coming back to the same point similar to the Tezuka Zone.
Now we enter into the second part of your supposition. We enter the wonderfully vast world of opinion, with a coordination conjunction in the word "if". I admire your respect for the less, as your more is very noble of you. Your understanding of the world dynamic is impressive, we associate our enjoyment with our love of the King and I.
Your second paragraph was reminiscent of a great novel in the sense that we see the thematic prose repeated in such a short span of time. So we circle back to the hate of the matter, ah such a vicious cycle this circle is. But once again your respect for the less is appreciated by the many. And your shining examples on this experimentation of human behavior is a stellar example of this.
When loving what you love, forgoing the logical path always seems like the safe path, because faith, as one would have it, is a strong motivator, and a powerful guide. Faith will not favor or waver, it will reward those who are faithful. And on the road to the end, it will be littered with many stones, and jagged pebble, but you keep walking that green mile, it is there for you, and only you will know it is green or that it is a mile, it is up to you.
The first is always the purest, and your purity on the situation, and your wonder and amazement is to the benefit of all. Salud!

Philosophy allows us to tap into the less often used part of our brain, the part that bashfully does not wants to deal with ones self. Only when we can accept our purpose, can we flip the page.
Only when we delve deeper through the other side of the pillow, will we ever be able to understand and accept Kdrama for what they are.
I believe the comments here represent a dichotomy of westernized audiences acceptance and non acceptance of comedy.…
I find it an interesting study on human behavior that indeed there is an increasing prevalence of monoculture in the western world, but at the same time, there is also a rise in many different culture, that is even more divisive than being of different culture.
Much respect for your thoughts, if only more people share your consciousness, more people would be awake as the most opportune times, instead of trying to sleep through life.
I could not agree more, The way he is looked down upon as unclean and dirty by the other characters, the way he…
I only belong to the thoughts of free speech, nothing more, nothing lesser.
And I subscribe to the doctrines of clear mind, and clear soul. I do not aim to confuse, but rather to enlighten ones seeking the path of understanding.
The meaning of life is not up to us to decide, In Kdramas, we see snippets of it, enough to make us believe the answer we have been seeking is becoming ever so close.
I believe the comments here represent a dichotomy of westernized audiences acceptance and non acceptance of comedy.…
Monoculture though technically possible, is very implausible, we've already seen in history how such dangerous such sentiment can become.
In each person's home country, there is always a clamor for homogeneity between all individuals, because it's citizen believe that living in a foreign country translates to adopting and forgetting previously known heritage.
For countries that preaches multi-diversity, there should be an even greater acceptance for other non mainstream cultures. But the side effect of this supposed acceptance is the creation of a thousand more sub cultures, that only creates for isolation for people.
We need to learn to accept and stop demanding. People rarely will conform without a fight, so rather than expect them to conform, we can easily adapt, after all we are Darwinian best examples.
Boy this drama is really testing the waters huh . . Great opportunity for us to ponder on what it means to watch…
I believe the comments here represent a dichotomy of westernized audiences acceptance and non acceptance of comedy. We sometimes fail to see the inconsistencies that come out of our mouth unless someone of third party points it out.
In the westernized world, we have accepted comedy as it stands. We close our eyes to the extreme racial overtones, and discrimination that come from almost all form of comedy, because of it's genre. Yet, when we see the same standard being applied in another world, we are suddenly offended.
How many a western comic, show, movie has gone and offended the world, but we tell those offended to sit down, it's comedy, but when portrayed in a different culture's medium, we are quick to raise our forks, we are quick to point out something as weird. Look no further than Japanese game shows that attempts to cross the line many times, but our own westernized shows that not only crosses the line but moves past into unknown territory is beloved.
In our innate hubris as human beings, we sometimes forget that the world has become increasingly global, but at the same time also increasingly divided. The advent of global technologies has only sped up the decline of human beings dependence on things of comfort, and mirror images. And due to the same technology that brings us together, also serve to set us apart. Propaganda, fake news, and bots are just a few of the weapons available that usher us like sheep waiting for the next snippet of wisdom to be thrown our way.
I say we break from the flock and follow the green mile, walking inch by inch, until we no longer see the lines.
I could not agree more, The way he is looked down upon as unclean and dirty by the other characters, the way he…
We should not juxtapose this drama with images of nothing.
Expired food or older food is not something anyone can claim, but something everyone should be able to claim.
It is always an honor, regardless of the intensity of the actions, to be able to live and walk among the living. It's a privilege we oft forget in our forks laden with regrets.
During times when #blacklivematter speaks louder than ever, this character is very disturbing. What is the worst…
A nickel coin has two sides. A diamond dice has 6 sides, but infinite number of cuts. The global world, interestingly enough, has become more global with the advent of technology, but ironically, it is because of said technology that more than half of the world is also shut off. It is akin to being in parallel worlds, stifled by a simple magical flute.
The issues of one, is not necessarily the issue of many. One does not simply break the kitchen sink to argue for a better escape. Our life, is in effect a parallel of such a world, and our juxtaposing of a current hot topic issue will not advance an inch, nor will it a green mile.
It's become so hyper, so incredibly hyper, that when slapstick comes to present itself, it is ironically slapped aside. There has been portrayals of the time of yore that used others, than our locky friend, whose movement and freedoms were not restricted. Our admonishment of the characterization of locky is in itself a growing problem within us,that can only be solved by us.. Something that I fear, we may never find penance for.
han dal shik is the worst character ever the writers should be ashamed of themselves along with the actor portraying…
We must in our soul, search for the answers to the mysteries of the unknown. The moral maps of yore have atrophied beyond comprehension, so we have a hard time imagining, nay, accepting what it has become.
Once we are able to wear size ten Shoopen's then a whole new world becomes our private yard, where we can peer, frollick and examine. But in meanest of time, we should try to see satire in the most fictional of situation, to add a certain edge to our current world, lest we lost what makes us truly human.
Since I'm not watching this drama I thought some people were overreacting, the way I was wrong. Nigeria isn't…
The fault isn't in the stars, it's in the non-usage of a more accurate characterization. Many of African descent make their home in our drama lands origin, yet they opted not to use. That is the crime scene being investigated here, and not the gradual or sudden use of global stereotypes.
One must check the pool to choose from to know if they emptied it, before we can raise our forks and ask for the manager. Let us not condemn what we do not know, but rather try to know what we are condemning.
Gosh... I have lots of negative feelings towards the girlfriend of ML. Why people turn off the phones, go out…
Your dissertation on the merits/demerits of the girlfriend is admirable. But this girl belongs to a world not our own, she is given thru the wit of the writer, the freedom to exist in a world not meant for human habitation.
Having this kind of construct in our mind, can become a hindrance in understanding the types of rationale that we experience in our life. Best to allow this lady to create parallels to her life in her world and not ours. Lest we find a magical flute that allows us to stray from our world, best we leave her to stew in hers.
I anticipated a lot of new viewers would drop the drama, like you. Now that there's no longer an online game to…
Forever the moment. Those are famous last words, as the horde of intellectuals vacate the hallowed halls of confusion and wonder. But what is left I ask you? A vacuum, one that is inhospitable. Stragglers, those who are late, and those who pertain to be late, what is left for them? With the lack of veterans in the field, how will they navigate the strewn wasteland that was left in their wake?
In the iron sight of the writer, she has targeted the viewers. In the edge of tomorrow, the viewers need to relive the day when they are mowed down by the quick romances, hollowed plots, and Kimchi. They try to eschew living the same day, the same episode, but alas, the bridge between A and B is full of unstable planking, just yesterday, someone fell into a paradox that they could not escape.
What is left, with no one to protect these new recruits?
I present to you a hero of two worlds, a person of logic, how else to beat a writer, but with another writer. The answer was so simple. Now veterans can sleep soundly knowing the vacuum that was left, was no longer kept a vacuum, that the sounds of the few, the sounds of the loud, and the sound of reason can be heard as loudly as a tree falling in an unknown forest.
For most it's a Happy ending cause they end up together, and all the good guys lead happy lives.
Halt! says the crossing guard, as to venture further is to enter the realm of insanity. Repetitively doing the same thing, and expecting a different results is the definition.
A filly once, will be a filly forever, she never grows into a Maximus, but admirably retains her mane as tender as a mother's touch. Lest other men attempt to ride her, her benefactor has accosted her for her next play. Ahh, what nobility we see, or is it? Are we seeing grooming hidden under the guise of motherhood? we will never know till we see the next play.
Simply iconic. Have not enjoyed a kdrama the lase few years in the same way I enjoyed this one. One thing tho,…
Such is the ways of an aimless war, an inconsequential battle. When a writer chooses to ignore her gut, and fall into her own insecurities, then we get an end result that is decidedly missing in depth. The writer of this fare decided to enter with weapons not her own, weapons she did not know how to use effectively. The trigger finger was shaking as she tries to press, when she should have pulled. And in the end, the viewers are damaged, nay, scared or scarred for it. (whichever you feel fits the situation better)
And when the fog of battle has faded, all we are left with are the decaying bodies of men/women that are mutilated beyond recognition. And in the post, we check their autopsy to see signs of struggles, but we are aghast at the lack of bones in the body. And as we look upon these limp and lifeless bodies, we think to ourselves, why can I not shed a tear?
not the best but not the worst either. i don't think this deserves the hate it's getting. ?
I think some people's got themselves too hyped up, that when presented with such a mediocre fare drama, what would have initially been commonplace disappointment, has instead dangerously morphed into a rampant tsunami of massive disappointment.
So, the show only has to blame netflix for needlessly hyping up the show, thus unknowingly being the architect of it's own destruction. The exponential intelligence of it's needlessly agitated viewers didn't help it's crusade either, as such wanton display of disregard further fueled the inferno.
All in all, the show could have been much better, but failed to be so, and thus became the ire of fans who expected more, but got much much less. So with every shred of hype and bias husked away, we are left with a pure and virginal mindset entering into the show. Unfortunately, with all our defenses taken away, we are left vulnerable to all the show's massive weapons of pure flaws, which become harder to ignore, as the show itself ignores the vulnerability of it's viewers.
