In the end of all this I suspect the only good thing I'm going to have to say about it, is that it ended.

That's about it. We've all suffered through this trash fire and now we've only got to make it through one last bullshit plot and we can walk away.

This whole thing was a wreck from day 1. By episode 2 it was set in stone what kind of assholes Hia Lian and Hia Yi were and this hasn't changed. They have not grown or learned a thing about how to treat people they love, about respecting the agency of their partners.

I am going to be so glad to light this show on fire and walk away after next week.

Kuea turning down Lian was a power move. Finally! The return of a speck of the Kuea we saw in episode 1 who had a sense of self.

Unfortunately it won't last. This is the last piece of shit from Mandee I watch.

I had a friend who was watching this show who was in an psychologically controlling, toxic relationship years before and they tapped out about episode 4 because "this isn't romantic, it's sick". And honestly, anyone deserves better than to be treated that way. So Kuea needs to go back to Europe and get as far from Lian as he can.

I've given up trying to understand the reactions of my fellow audience. I'm just rolling with "I hate this flaming ball of toxic horse shit". And I'm happy right there.

Aw Mike, this was a magical journey! I haven't seen the ep yet. One of my refrigerators dies this morning and I spent the day mass cooking and freezing foods. But I am sure you nailed ALL the highlights.

I was already thinking about what I would keep an eye out for when watching, and what format I wanted to use when doing this episode's review, then I remember, "Hey! I'm not doing weeklies on this shit show anymore. I'm saving it for the final roast."

But that doesn't mean I'm leaving you alone on the front lines, soldier. And this was an excellent feedback post. You made me laugh, but also dread what I'm about to sit down and witness.

It is. And the idea that we're meant to enjoy the show by ignoring the bad writing is pretty preposterous.

Of H3, I'll give it to you straight. One of them was a very touching but hard evolution that ended in tragedy. But was still VERY worth the trip. That would be H3: MoDC. The other was a police procedural BL, of all things, with mob stuff thrown in. And it was hilarious and sexy and a bit of a romp. That would be H3: Trapped.

They are very different from each other but both very good in their own way.

Plot, characterization and in some cases tone and context.

The plot is a ball of tangled, broken yarn. There are several scenes where tone and context either created confusion or suggested bad things in weird ways. And the characterizations are stiff in some places, inconsistent ALWAYS, and needlessly melodramatic at others.

You shut up. H3 is the best. LOL.

I still have not forgotten the trip out to the beach that resulted in that "Toh ate mushrooms and passed out and then was groped while probably impaired" shit with Nuea. So he's on my list too. But of the two, he is a lot less weird.

You could be right. We've honestly not seen enough of them to know for sure. I just know that Som isn't having a litter of kittens anymore, so I presumed things were worked out.
