Shows that talk about real world gay issues and marriage equality in Thailand are growing more common place and…
I can't handle any more either. But honestly, Lukchub reminds me of a very saccharine Wayu, only with a lot less bravado. Lukchub is the softest of the soft.
I dislike the show, but I don't think there's anything wrong with Zee's acting. In fact, he's the only one who's…
Wait now, let's be generous. Recently he's developed what I like to call 'indulgent cow eyes'. It's looks somewhat like 'confused constipated' face. But there is a subtle air of "I broke Kuea, and it's so cute!".
Yea as I mentioned earlier, this comment section is kinda like a cutie pie haters community; they only point out…
If you're imagining us as "a bunch of 10-12 year old children" and also imagine us "squirming and saying 'Mummy, mummy, we, why don't they stop kissing. It's disgusting'" then you are participating in a wild amount of infantilism fantasy regarding the other MDL users here. Which might explain your love of the two main couples, now that I think about it.
It's certainly kinky, but not the good kind of kink. So...No thanks.
"This ain’t reality." If I truly believed every single person watching CP considers it an escapist fiction and…
The statement "This ain't reality" is a form of de-legitimization. The salient points we make about Cutie Pie are ignored, and their relevancy dismissed by the suggestion that we are unable to tell the difference between reality and fiction. Nice try. And very on point, considering the tactic is a classical toxic behavior.
(*Claps*)
However, "This ain't reality" is entirely beside the point. No one is claiming that the show is reality. The relevant perspective is not some weirdo binary beteeen "This ain't reality" and "This is being conflated with reality".
There is a rich history of responding to media on its own merits, rather than the intended/hoped for perception among viewers. Simply put, people have always formed strong opinions about ALL genres of storytelling out there and having a strong opinion regarding the content of a drama is not a sign that we're conflating the drama with reality. It's simply a sign that we are not interested in dismissing its faults. That requires no "serious word with ourselves". It's as simple as seeing faults in some aspect of the drama's episodes and then constructing a post expressing our point of view regarding it.
The more troublesome element is that OP is trying to police the comments section by posting a criticism of other peoples' points of view, instead of simply sharing their own comments on the show. OP might want to be less obsessed with what we're posting and spend more time posting on the show itself.
OP is of course welcome to their weekly "escapism". No one is questioning that. However, escaping into the fictional world of Cutie Pie does not entitle OP to an MDL page where there is no critique of that fictional world. Because this ain't fantasy. This is the real world where everyone is entitled to post, no matter if OP likes our opinions or not.
Okay, the report I sent in to Support got the job done, apparently. As now you can search for Cutie Pie again.
If I were a paranoid person, I would agree that some degree of skullduggery was in play. I would look at the timing of the glitch with the sudden, mad concentration of "We love Cutie Pie and you all should go away" posts. And I might think that maybe one of the people who is a more rabid fan of the show is an admin on MDL with enough access to temp alter the site's back end settings which would be super simple to do if their AP UI works even a little. And I might assume they possibly did it to make it harder for people who dislike the show to get in and post for the duration of their wild spree.
However, I am not paranoid in the least. So I do not think that is what happened. I don't know what happened, but it was probably not that.
Maybe there was a harmless, random change made during a legit update to the page, that left it offline in terms of the search engine. Whatever the problem was, it was detectable by multiple users (I had some people test it) but it was quickly resolved.
To me, I liked the first 2 episodes. Then it tanked and now it's just in free fall.I wouldn't say there's much…
Here, partake of the brilliance that is Tilly Birds. And then go check out their new song, "Until". And don't miss their song Bangkok Winter. And all the rest. They will fucking slay you.
Shows that talk about real world gay issues and marriage equality in Thailand are growing more common place and…
I really hate TOh. And I'm not a big fan of Nuea. But given several other decent components to the show, I'm willing to roll with that assessment.
First, trash fire that Toh is aside, This drama has fem gays in it. Fucking win! Give me my fab brothers! Also Toh notwithstanding, the rest of his crew are cool. I love Sky and his relationship with Jao. I enjoyed the very repeatedly good addressing of body image issues between them. Talks about being yourself instead of conforming in Daisy's storyline are good too. And yes, LGBT topics in Thailand.
So honestly, FUCK Toh. Light that character on fire. But the rest of the show has several winning attributes. I could strangle Saint for choosing this story to throw the effort into. But overall, it's easier to watch than Cutie Pie, so long as you fast forward past like 99% of Toh's scenes.
To me, I liked the first 2 episodes. Then it tanked and now it's just in free fall.I wouldn't say there's much…
I like the "Change" song too. But I actively dislike the Main theme. And "Just Being Friendly" is a cover song. The Tilly Birds original is way better. So that one gets no points from me. I was actively mad a Tilly Birds song was used in this trash heap drama. And the rest... meh.
This isn't a fan page. This shouldn't be an haters club either. MDL is usually a quite good place to discuss bout…
You're very welcome. I've been here since episode 1, fighting this same battle. And it just is ridiculous that every week people have to be re-schooled.
To me, I liked the first 2 episodes. Then it tanked and now it's just in free fall.I wouldn't say there's much…
Right? I mean, I've stopped watching KP, but there is no denying that Slot Machine is a kickass group and Free Fall is a hit this show's Theme cannot compete with. (Is it me or is SLot Machine's sound about 75% Modest Mouse and 25% Velvet Revolver?)
But then I never really cared for the OST of this show. New sings well, no doubt. But the material he has been given is hit or miss.
This storyline isn’t my type at all BUT I enjoy how they talk about the real world issues, especially same sex…
Shows that talk about real world gay issues and marriage equality in Thailand are growing more common place and this one wasn't the first. So I feel it's not a get out of jail free card for them. Hell, even the Teddy Bear drama touched on it. And a lot more solidly than the quick pass this show gave.
We've taken on the job of helping each other through the absolute torture that is watching this show by building…
Hahahah! That's actually really funny.
The thing is, there's a lot of inaccurate hype out there. And it's used as a way to somehow convince people the show isn't shit. As though throwing a number at me is going to convince me a show is any good. Tons of people like this. So what. So it's done well on Youtube. So what.
I am not sure how any of these "facts" are meant to somehow fix everything absolutely wrong with this drama.
what the hell is with this comment section xD i really don't understand why almost all of you are hating on this…
None of the people who dislike the show are posting "WHat the hell is up with the comments section. I really don't understand why any of you are loving on this series". Those of us who dislike the series really don't care about your opinions one way or another with regards to the show. So it's very telling that the majority of posts from people that supposedly like the drama contain more complaints about users who don't than they do commentary on the show itself.
Here's the thing. We do this every week, so I don't know why it hasn't sunk in yet, but there's nothing wrong with really disliking the show. Or posting here about it. The reasons why we're still watching are varied. And it's been explained sooo many times from several different people. Honestly, at this point my answer is just "I doesn't matter, deal with it". Which is the truth. No one has to explain why they're watching.
I'm watching for my own reasons, none of which suddenly invalidate my opinions. But you aren't hot under the collar that we're still watching the show. If we were watching it and being quiet about our dislike, you wouldn't even care. You're worked up just because I and others are here sharing our unfavorable opinions in a place where you only want to deal with people who also like the show. And sorry_not_sorry. That's not going to go your way. Because that isn't how the comments section works. It's not just for people who want to meet up with others who like the show. It's also a place you are going to meet MANY people who don't. That's how it be. We all get to post whatever we want to about the show and you'll just have to get over it.
Lukchub is love. Just shhh.... just smile at him. He's a dear.
It's certainly kinky, but not the good kind of kink. So...No thanks.

Here the plot is so bad and the characterizations so weird it's hard to separate the actors' performances from the crap that was written for them.
