I also liked s1 more, but I do think the characters in s2 have more potential for a continued story, so s3 with the cast of s2 makes more sense to me. Even tho I do miss the leads in s1. The couple had extremely good chemistry in s1.

Not digging immortal world that much either. Such a shame. Mortal world was so incredible and well written. Really hope immortal world is gonna keep up.

No one expects her to abort her mission for love, but why can't she freakin COMMUNICATE for once? At least he tries. But no character development from her. Do we really have to wait until the last episode for her to be honest or even get one nice word out of her? It's already ep 32... Their relationship development is gonna be so unnatural if she stabs him with painful words every few episodes and then changes in the last few episodes.
She is unnecessarily cruel with him while she is EXTREMELY!!! lenient to anyone else. The double standard is reaching!
And this is how she's treating the man she loves? RED FLAG!!!

Was this a translation mistake? Because that doesn't make sense with Sang Jiu. Wouldn't she have said Ye Xiwu?

LSS got to be the most double standard and hypocrite character I've ever seen.

I miss the side characters from mortal world so much... The immortal ones aren't doing it for me.

TTJ is the most captivating character for me in this drama, but I'm also kind of done with this. If the genders were reversed, people would call him a "doormat" ... 😅 He's too obsessed and LSS is too indifferent. Highly unbalanced relationship even now in ep 32. Really don't know how the writers will make us believe they love each other equally by the end of this drama... or they won't. It just is what it is. A one-sided tragic love story.

Well, TTJ had bit of character development at least. He's honest with his feelings now and at least tries to communicate. LSS on the other hand........*sigh*

Why do people always bring TTJ from the novel in here? Drama TTJ and Novel TTJ are different, so I don't get why people always bring up how evil TTJ in the novel is, because he just isn't in the drama. So I just don't get the comments.

Oh man... the shortened episodes to 40 really kinda destroyed the flow in the immortal arc. The last two episodes were kinda messy, too much going on, information and scenes condensed, abrupt editing etc. Which made everything so anti-climatic and I found myself detached from the drama and its characters.

I was really anticipating them meeting in immortal arc... but it was quite disappointing. So anti-climatic and Li Susu's reaction was so... weird and emotionless. She didn't seem surprised nor seemed to care how her "lover" from 500 years ago came to the immortal world.

I'm seriously so done with Li Susu... seriously. Will we ever get her to be honest with him? What is the reason she's acting this way again? Maybe I could understand her behavior in mortal world, because she had a mission even tho she said such painful words, that I still think were highly unnecessary. But why is she even now in immortal arc so cruel to him?

Li Susu being fake, cruel, heartless, dishonest for 32 episodes now.
Writers really kinda messed up Li Susu's character. She's too cruel and heartless and Tantai Jin is too pitiful and toxic obsessed with her.
He loves her too much and she doesn't love him enough, if she even does, because I can't feel any love from her for him. The most I do feel is guilt from her, but love? Not really.

Really wished the writers would have made Tantai Jin more ruthless and not so pitiful. If they made him more like the novel, I wouldn't feel so bad for him nor dislike Li Susu that much. Or they could've soften her up a bit, so that it's well balanced, but at this point, I just feel truly bad for Tantai Jin. At least he's honest with his feelings and tries to communicate, but she's still the same. No character development whatsoever. Will we ever get a nice word out of Li Susu for Tantai Jin? -_-

Song Hye Kyo's dramas Now, We Are Breaking Up and Encounter. The Glory as well, before it was aired and became a hit. She always gets groundless hate for having younger male leads as costars.

There are always rude comments if there is an age gap regardless of the gender.

Even evil Bing Chang left the world knowing that Xiao Lin loved her. He left her a heartfelt letter even tho she was downright evil and cruel.

But poor TTJ didn't get one nice word out of LSS until the end :') That makes him even more pitiful...

Even Xiao Lin left Binchang a heartfelt letter in the end even tho he knew that she was evil. Binchang was the real demon here but even she left the world knowing that she was loved.
And what about TTJ? He wasn't even half as bad as Binchang and just got hate and painful words even in LSS last moments. She was so cruel to him- That makes TTJ even more pitiful than he already is.

I'm so annoyed at that f**ckin storyteller! He's a total quack! LSS thinks TTJ forgot about her and lived his life happily ever after?!?!

She should now how much he suffered, so that she realizes that she didn't even suffer enough to peacefully erase her memories of him -_-
He didn't suffer all his mortal life and then 500 years in the spirit world just so LSS can go on and forget him.

Read somewhere that TTJ as Cang Jiu Min will have mostly Ming Ye's personality traits... is that true? Will we not get our TTJ back at all? Just his face, the memories and the same past?
That's a huge letdown for me and I'm extremely sad if that happens....

TTJ is the most interesting and captivating character in this drama and Ming Ye was just .... bland and boring for me. I want TTJ back with his personality traits... pls tell me that's not true 😭
