Can't help but hop on that HS hate train π I actually didn't mind her that much before yesterday's episodes and even enjoyed her scenes with Joon. But she seems to be an extremely selfish person. Her behavior towards WJ is more or less understandable, but she's also extremely selfish with Joon.
The reason Joon didn't want her to fall in "love" with him is exactly her behavior now. Joon is a lonely introverted guy and he loves the three siblings a lot. They are like his family. He absolutely didn't want to lose the trio's friendship that's why he was angry that HS fell in "love" with him, because he was scared to lose them. But HS just acts according to her own needs despite of the feelings of others. She confessed selfishly, then is jealous of Joon's friendship to WJ, declaring she's gonna stop loving him and now wants to move out of his house. Suggesting that they just meet 1-3 times a year. So she basically takes his only friends away, which what he was scared of.
This is so selfish. That's exactly the reason he didn't want her to have feelings for him... The whole "Woojoo is too near to Dongjin" seems to be an excuse for her hurt ego because of Jun's loyalty to WJ...
Am I the only one that doesnβt want jun and her sister together? ππΌββοΈ I honestly have never really…
I actually had nothing against them, but I also find that HS is extremely selfish now. Jun is a lonely introverted guy and he absolutely didn't want to lose the trio's friendship that's why he was angry that HS fell in "love" with him, because he was scared to lose them. But HS just acts according to her own needs despite of other feelings. She confessed selfishly, then is jealous of Jun's friendship to WJ and now wants to move out of his house suddenly (taking the location as an excuse), and even take his friends away by suggesting to meet just 1-3 times a year, just because she can't get over him -_- What a d*ck move of her. That's exactly the reason he didn't want her to have feelings for him... The whole "Woojoo is too near to Dongjin" seems to be an excuse for her hurt ego because of Jun's loyality to WJ...
Just lurking here again because I suddenly miss this drama... I miss my fave couple of all time. I guess no couple can reach Xu Hong Dou and Xie Zhi Yao at the moment. There is actually no drama which I find similar to this...Meet Yourself was one of a kind. It was just pure healing for my soul. But it's still too fresh in my mind to rewatch. How to erase memories? π
Ep 23 and 24 were cute and enjoyable episodes! π Since Liang Tao changed her job and works for Topsmash now, I actually do enjoy her individual screen time and couple time with Jiao Jiao. I'm so glad the influencer plot is over π Hoping for more Coach and Luo Nian scenes as well :D
But they really just brushed that one night stand off huh? Like it never happened. Should I forget it as well then? It wasn't worth to remember anyway π But somehow one can still feel the awkwardness in the air while they are together. I hope they address it properly in the future episodes and actually talk about it. He still deserves a heartfelt apology! It's good that he learned to separate work and love now, but still waiting for LYA character development from that incident. Why didn't she say those words to him which she told Luo Nian like she intended to? But she just said "nothing"... ugh WHY? I really wish she had! You could feel her sincerity and concerns with her words so much.
omgosh SSC is so in love with her. The scene with that shirt was too adorable! π
Great review! I was also not so into this drama and thought I was weird because everyone seemed to love it to the max π
tbh I also couldn't immerse myself in the couple because that love at first sight was not doing it for me. The ML didn't seem to be the type to fall for visuals first, but he did anyway. And they already seemed head over heels for each other even tho they didn't have one normal conversation at first. But well... the chemistry was there, but still...
Hmm... sad to say but I was kinda disappointed with the last two episodes regarding the romance part π I got more butterflies and sizzling feels when they were just swoon glancing at each other or had deep talks... That kiss, make out scene and bed scene felt so unromantic and lame in comparison. There was more tension in that scene where drunk LYA whispered in SSC's ear than that whole make out scene combined. It felt like "american" make out scenes for me lol I also watched the BTS and I guess it was the editing/censoring as well...
But apart from the editing and censoring, I felt that it was so rushed and weirdly out of place... The leads had much more touching/sizzling moments in the past which could have lead to a one night stand. And they just drank one glass of alcohol each... I'm sure they were not that drunk. And how did they get from the sport court to a hotel room? Sadly there were no scenes in between of that. They kinda just teleported from court to hotel and where still in make out phase.
And yeah...I was so disappointed with the FL and her behavior after that one night stand. That was such a d*ck move! If the genders were reversed I bet a lot more people would be calling that out. Poor SSC lost his virginity like that. Won't be a good memory for him now. Men are as vulnerable as women when it comes to the emotional part of the first time... (But he's a fast learner, that's good! π) It seems to me that even now SSC always gets the short end of the stick. He was utterly devastated and heartbroken while she "seemed" unfazed. Yes, I know she was also affected, but I had the feeling she was more in despair, because she made that "mistake" and not because she hurt him or was hurting as well. I was actually really pissed that she didn't try harder to patch things up. I really hope there will be a time that she runs after him and tries her best. (And I hope no accident has to happen, just so we can see that -_-) I'm sad to see SSC getting hurt repeatedly while being the greenest flag ever π He deserves better than that!
I agree with every single word!! I watched a lot of kdramas and relatively less cdramas...but I feel cdramas do…
As the leads in Forever Love are still in high school and then college, I'd say their relationship doesn't start as mature as the other dramas I've listed. It has an overall cute "teen" vibe, but still get mature in course of the drama :) And also really healthy relationship! Hope you will still like it!
You need to add more couples from the Oath of Love, dream of Splendor among others. These couples have this inexplicable…
These were just my personal favorites. Everyone has different opinion and taste πDropped Oath of Love, because the FL annoyed the heck out of me. Didn't watch Dream of Splendor yet :D
Overall really liked this drama. It was light and sweet :) The whole back and forth part in the middle of the drama was kinda dragging the plot for me, but the beginning and the ending made up for it. But I liked the acting the most in this drama. The leads were quite natural actors even in emotional scenes. I hope to see more of them in the future!
I kinda hoped for a scene where Cheng Cheng also got to confront her parents just like Xiao Yu He with his controlling mom. I felt really bad for Cheng Cheng, because her parents seem to not care about her. The parents will regret that one day...
Oh dear... I love this so much. This drama is so wholesome! I feel so happy while watching that I want to cry πβ€οΈ The main leads are so adorbs and complement each other so well. I'm head over heels for them β€οΈ
tbh I'm actually more of an avid Kdrama watcher and have seen thousand times more KDramas than Cdramas, but there is just this unique charm about mature slice-of-life romantic CDramas that I've never felt or seen in Kdramas! If I'd pick a few of my all-time favourite series couples, there would be actually just Chinese ones at the top even tho I absolutely love a lot of Kdrama couples π But these are just the most HEALTHIEST, natural, wholesome and beautiful couples, who will pop up first in my head:
Meet Yourself - Hong Dou & Zhi Yao You are My Glory - Jing Jing & Yu Tu Nothing But You - You An & San Chuan (NEW π) Forever Love - Lin Xi & Jiang Zhen Han
... I really hope this kind of genre with wholesome and healthy couples will be much popular in Chinese Dramas, so it won't be so rare anymore β€οΈ
Look, Jiang Jiao Jiao has his nice moments, but his side loveline isn't hitting it for me. I just hate the whole…
Yes, I fully agree. The youngest couple isn't doing it for me either. I actually wish FL would have stayed at Young Space, so her career would have at least be connected to the overall storyline. But that whole influencer-plot is totally out of place. At least for me.
And I'm also loving new coach x best friend couple. They feel natural to me and I like their good-natured banter.
Definitely here for Wu Lei. It's quite refreshing to see him in a contemporary drama after Love Like the Galaxy.…
I guess it's all matter of taste. I love slowburn and long talks π It has a really good pacing in romance for me. Slowly building up a really strong base for a relationship. But glad that u still seem to enjoy it π
Where do u watch the previews? Can't seem to find anything on yt π
Thank u! Sadly I can't download the app in my country and can't seem to find in on iqiyi website. Seems like I just have to wait patiently for the eps π
