Title Call It Love
If this doesn't have a happy ending how pitiful would Dong Jin be? I can't bear to see his heart and soul break again... T-T He had such a lonely life because of his terrible mother... I don't want him in pain.

As I prepare to bid farewell to this fantastic drama, do you have any recommendations for similar dramas? Low…
I recommend Chinese dramas "Meet Yourself" or ongoing drama "Nothing but You".

Meet Yourself has no angst tho... it's mostly slice of life and healing drama. But really mature and realistic. Beautiful natural and slowburn romance :)

I really like "Nothing But You" so far. It's also mature and looking forward to the romance there.

And if you're up for an amazing family and character-driven drama, I recommend "Go Ahead". There is romance, but I'd say it's not the main focus. But it's an awesome drama with deep conversations and beautiful family bond.

This show is like a clogged sink/toilet at this moment. I'm sorry for the crude comparison, but it's the only…
This is so accurate! Couldn't have described it better.

And then there are people who think the ones complaining just don't understand or don't like to watch "complicated" stories. The plot is not complicated. It's just badly written. A lot happens and nothing happens at the same time lol

I'm watching Go Ahead and Tu Song Yan...best Chinese dad characters ever and here he's even funnier with his talking…
I'm sad to hear that she's no longer with u. My condolences. But a wonderful person like that will never be forgotten. She lives on in your memories and of the many people she enriched their lives with her existence ❀️

I would have enjoyed this show 100% if the show didn't include the trope of a deadbeat dad and an attention-seeking…
Oh Jules :) So great to see you here! Always loved your translations and insights you shared with us in the "Meet Yourself" comment section ❀️ I see u still have lovely Hong Dou and Zhi Yao as your PP :D

I think my impression of his father role in Go Ahead is so strong, that L&P couldn't take that away πŸ˜†

Yeah! I absolutely love him! Go Ahead and Meet Yourself are two of my all-time fave Chineses dramas and he was in both of them. So I am really looking forward how "Nothing but You" is gonna unfold and hope to add a 3rd drama to my all-time fave list and will be so delighted because Tu Song Yan is in it again! 😊

πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆRating already at 8.6 . I wish people would rate dramas instead of their favourite actors on this…
You're kind of a hypocrite yourself with that comment. Dropping because of bias of other people is a bias as well. You're not giving this drama a chance because people rated it already? I can tell you what. I just bingewatched the 8 episodes which are out and I'm so happy to find a drama just my cup, that I also already rated it. Your loss and have a nice day :)

Oh my! Finally a drama currently airing which is just my cup of tea ❀️ Bingewatched 8 episodes and I'm so in love with the FL! She's beautiful, cool-headed, confident, eloquent and so mature! I love her so much! As a woman myself being in her early 30s the concerns and conversations in this drama just hit home.

And the minute I saw my favourite Chinese father figure Tu Song Yan, I knew this drama is gonna be amazing! I'm always so delighted when I see him in a drama, I just can't describe the happiness!

I'm so in love with mature Chinese dramas with deep conversations like this! There are just a few out there, but I feel they're getting more each year and I'm so happy for that.

Do they buy engagement rings for men too? Men generally wear wedding rings right?
I guess you are right. Just had to google it, because almost everyone in my family had both engagements rings and wedding rings. Didn't know the majority of women just have engagements rings and men wedding rings.

Ep20: Lu Chen telling Hai Dong that he's gonna be a father was such an amazing scene!!! Hai Dong crying and Lu Chen also being teary-eyed but still trying to hold back was wholesome and so funny πŸ˜‚ The acting was phenomenal!

Am I the only one who thought it was weird, that she bought herself an engagement ring but not one for him? Or is it a culture thing? πŸ˜… At least he bought rings for both of them πŸ˜‚

Y'all do know that romance means more than just kissing, confessions and holding hands, right? Because the way…
Why do you think the complains about "romance" are just about kisses and hugs? I for my part, don't even need Skinship to have a sizzling romance. There are a lot of dramas out there which still have amazing romances without much Skinship. (Mr. Sunshine, Little Women, My liberations Notes etc.)

But I still think the romance is not well developed here. For me the development of their feelings felt quite unnatural. I don't get how Jae Yi catched feelings so fast after he was a total jerk to her. But then he gave her an apple and she swooned over him lol. For me they either had a lot of bickering scenes, where both of them were kind of immature for comic relief or they had super emotional near death scenes, where both of them already felt to be head over heels for each other. With the number of episodes this drama has, they actually had plenty of time for a more natural approach. If u felt it different then that's good for you. But I didn't feel much of their chemistry and therefor more a lack of "romance" development.

This doesn't mean one has a narrow view of romance or just want Skinship. But I'd say I have seen much better romance developments with far less episodes and skinship and maybe have a higher standard on slow burn romances or chemistry.

Or we just have different opinions and perception of this drama. No need to belittle people who complain about the romance.

You said everything I wanted to say but was too lazy to type. Their β€œslow burn” was not done right and I think…
I think they did have the potential for a great romance, but acting wise and development wise, this is not well done.
Some people write that the people complaining about the "romance" just want hugs and kisses, but for me, that's not true at all. I don't need Skinship for a great romance. There are plenty of awesome romances without a lot of Skinship, but their development is so well done, you just feel it sizzling without a single kiss (Mr. Sunshine, Little Women etc.)

And for slow burn romances Happiness comes to my mind, which is one of my favourite PHS dramas :) Or My liberations Notes are great as well.

I also was anticipating this drama, but it left my hanging πŸ˜… With the amount of episodes they could have written a banger of a drama. The story would've been also really intriguing if better written...

Title Virgin Love
"The problem she has is that she’s still a virgin." We're living in the 21st century. When are people gonna stop issuing virginity as a problem when not done the deed yet while being older? There are some people losing their virginity extrem young, extrem old or never and it's okay, because it's their body and choice. Especially Jdramas have the virginity "problem" still as a plot in this decade πŸ˜…

The first episode is very boring and full of cliche which at this point is cringe..am I the only one who is feeling…
Same! Especially the Kdramas this year so far were most mediocre. At least to me.
There is one Cdrama that actually hit my top drama fave list tho. It's called Meet Yourself. I loved this healing drama with all my heart. But I would recommend to watch 2 episodes a day. For me it was not a drama to bingewatch but to let myself feel the warmth everyday after work. It was so soothing, I can't explain :D

At this point I'm just watching because I already came this far and there isn't much to watch currently anyway πŸ˜‚ This drama should have been 12 eps at most... I don't really get how this plot needed 20 episodes? Did someone read the novel? Is it close adapted from it or just roughly? Could've skipped the last 4 episodes and would've missed almost nothing...

And even tho this is a slow burn and I absolutely love slow burn romances... I think this one isn't well developed even tho the number of episodes give plenty of time for that. There was so little development in the romance department that I didn't really feel much with their emotional scenes in the latest episode... they act like they are already madly in love with each other... how? when? There is just something off. They have either too much comedic scenes with a lot of bickering or super emotional heart wrenching near death scenes...just not right balance and feels unnatural.

And I actually had hope that Sergeant Han already knew about Jae Yi's disguise, because he is always so gentle with her, but nope... he is still oblivious to this point and that's kind of sad for the smart person they make him out to be. Just as dumb as Crown Prince and his obliviousness towards Jae Yi's feelings for him. Even tho she pointed it out really clearly.

And sorry to be that person again, but it was just too obvious in the last eps... main actress just can't act emotional scenes. She has a lot to learn... I like her acting otherwise but when she's crying... ugh, I just want her to stop.

I held myself back for the last four episodes and didn't comment and still waited patiently if this is gonna develop in a better way, but it sadly didn't for me, so I just had to vent. Sorry :)
