It doesn't really matter what's her problems are. If she doesn't talk. There is no hope.. I don't get this idea…
I guess you never had an encounter with people with bad mental health. It's easy to say, that you just have to talk it out, but not easy done. But that's exactly the point of this drama and her character. There's gonna be development. She's has a relatable character and life and that's why a lot of people like her.
I liked the first half of the drama a lot but the second half was rather draggy and quite boring. I definitely liked the character development of some characters, but some were unbelievable and so unrealistic in the end... just to have a quite forced "happy ending" for EVERYONE. I didn't like the unnecessary twists and turns in the second half and also was rather startled at the members decisions at some point. There were too many obstacles put in every episode, some of them coming up so randomly.... there was no time to breath between all the struggles. And that "ultra hard working" and goody goody attitude of some Cotton Candy members annoyed me a lot at some point and was just too much....
What I absolutely loved was the acting, especially in the first half of the drama. It was so emotional and I cried a lot with them. But I'd say that drama didn't keep me excited til the end, but it was still enjoyable enough for me to watch it completely :)
I'm so mad at myself for not noticing Choi Woo Shik in his earlier projects.
I first saw him in the sitcom drama "Family". I loved him in that, because the drama and his character are hilarious. He's a master of acting the comedic character. I think that's where he also befriended Park Seo Joon :) Highly recommend the drama if you're up for 120 episodes lol If not, just watch cut scenes of him on yt ;)
Omg I loved this show soooo much! There was not one boring scene and for me every episode was exciting. I'm usually not into zombie/apocalypse themes, but I guess this is one of my fave dramas now. I will miss the joy of waiting for new episodes every week. The characters were awesome, be it the good or the bad. The chemistry between the leads was phenomenal. Even tho this drama wasn't focused on romance, they had thousand times more chemistry than a lot of "romance drama couples". I loved the plot but I admit that the characters made the drama for me.
I agree to some comments that the ending felt rushed. I felt that too, but I still liked that last episode. I wished for more closure for every character and the disease/cure itself... I guess this is a drama which deserved at least the usual 16 episodes, but we got just 12... Still feel overall satisfied with that ending :)
I loved the first episode and it's kinda a fresh plot :D I'm really curious how they ended up dating each other after/during that high school documentary, because they couldn't stand each other XD But yeah, the line between love and hate is thin.
My Mister had no "romantic" love story between the leads tho...
Well my opinion, but I beg to differ... I doubt the love depicted in that drama was a "romantic" relationship between a man and a woman, but rather platonic love between a human and a human.
Just binge-watched til ep 6, because I was bored. And tbh I didn't expect much, because I really didn't like Imitation with the same idol theme... but oh boy, this is so different and really good and the acting!!!! The acting is high-class! I really don't understand people who have prejudices about acting idols, because wow... they are slaying here. Especially Hani. The emotional scenes in this drama got to be some of the best I've seen in Kdramas. I cried so much watching through the latest episodes.
Well, the plot is nothing unique, but this drama is more character-driven and the FL gotta be one of the best I've seen. At first she seems pathetic, but she's actually so strong and resolute. Even tho the plot alone wouldn't catch me, the scenes are quite well-made and always leave me on edge and excited. This drama is quite emotional and I really like that, because it's well delivered. Really glad that I started this :)
It's actually quite sad that great dramas like this one and Happiness have only 12 episodes T-T
I remember watching this drama when it aired. It was amazing!! Considering a rewatch right now and here to read some comments to fresh up the vibes :) See a lot of comments hating on FL and on the romance in general... Well I loved the couple, liked the FL and the romance part. So I guess it's just all a matter of preference. Definitely gonna rewatch it. I still think it's one of Bogum's best roles. And I love Seo In Guk and Jang Nara. The cast ist amazing :D Kyungsoo was great as psycho :D
Okay, I'm on ep 3 and I just can't stand the male leads abusive behavior towards the female lead. How will they turn them into a romantic couple? I hate how they make his behavior seem "romantic" since there is romantic background music every time he harasses her. He kidnapped her, held her hostage, blackmailed her for money, sexual harassed her (pushed her on beds/sofas, touches her face abusively)... wtf?
Not sure if I want to continue. Is he gonna redeem himself?
I highly recommend "Come and Hug Me". Still his best drama til now for me.
tbh I think I also didn't encounter another drama which has the right amount of romance, melo and suspense like Come and Hug me. I loved their undying love despite the circumstances. And both leads were understanding and kind. Usually melodramas have one of the leads being Tsundere or kinda toxic with the other or there tend to be a lot of misunderstandings.
But I'd say these dramas gave me the same feels/vibes: Flower of Evil Hello Monster That Winter, The Wind Blows Pinocchio Missing You Secret ( kinda toxic tho, still one of my faves) Can You Hear My Heart ( no suspense, more melo)
I enjoyed this drama, but quite disappointed at the character/relationship development. The couple was quite cute and I loved their conversations in the beginning. Weirdly the last few episodes were frustrating to watch, because the usual communication between the leads disappeared and created unnecessary drama. Shun was quite frustrating with his "oh I'm so mature, don't need committed relationships and just go with the flow blah blah..." He was always good in comforting her and finding the right words at the beginning, but when she needed it the most, he was kinda insensitive and let her down several times. As for Kurumi, she also didn't confide him with her problems and let misunderstandings arise. When they fought, it didn't result in a mature conversation to make up, but they just made up somehow...
Nice drama to watch when u are bored, funny conversations and there's quite some eye candy, both leads :) But no rewatch value for me tho.
Wow almost ten years since I first watched this drama... time flies.... I was 19 when I watched it and could relate a lot to the characters worries and sorrows... I was just getting into Korean dramas that time and still remember how much I loved this drama. I think I watched it while it was on air and stopped after episode 2 because ... well u all know why... but then I started to watch it again after all episodes were broadcasted and I'm soooo glad I did, because it's a great story and I loved the characters so much. Bromance and romance were awesome as well :)
Think I'm gonna rewatch it these days. How am I gonna like it in my late twenties? :D
Hmm... I'm glad the ending kept us hopeful, but tbh... this drama stayed depressing a** f*** for me til the end...If you're in a dark place right now, I would never ever recommend this drama. It was not a healing drama for me, but just realistic. A lot of things were never spoken about, a lot of loose ends and nothing was resolved. But I guess that's life... And some past stories we'll never know about.
And I HATE how the main couple had just 10 seconds with each other even on the last episode and they didn't even exchange a few words o_o Maybe I'm greedy and expecting too much, because I know this drama focus wasn't romance. But still... this couple had intense chemistry and each episode I was craving for more of them, but well...we got maybe 10 minutes of them each episode, if not even less lol
yeah, I DO know that this drama is not about romance. But is it wrong of me to be disappointed that we had so little of them? T-T
I still loved this drama and I will rate it high, because it was beautiful, but I'd never rewatch it. It's too painful and real.
yeah...he was so horrible to her. Even to the point that I was utterly disgusted by him... she deserves so so much better. To all the women out there: YOU DESERVE BETTER!!! Don't settle for less!
I'm glad I took to mdl, I'm not the only one who thinks he was unfairly blamed. I mean, he's got so blamed that…
I was so baffled at his hyung's wife, because it wasn't even Doo Shik behind that wheel, but her husband. So in which universe would've been that accident Doo Shiks fault? WTF... His Hyung was also family for him. It was his loss as well. But she wished death upon Doo Shik on his hyung's funeral and years later she dares to say, that she won't apologize and even that she doesn't resent him anymore?!?! Why would she even resent him in the first place, IT WAS NOT HIS F***KIN FAULT!... ugh I hated that scene so much.
Even Do Ha (still don't like him tho....) apologized for putting the blame on Doo Shik(not his fault AGAIN!)... but that wife ...ugh.. unbelievable...
wtf... I'm kinda speechless at those people blaming Doo Shik for those accidents... all of that was not Doo Shik's fault to begin with! It was Do Ha's father's fault for putting all of that money in the wrong funds and then trying to commit suicide! And the car accident was an accident and Doo Shik was not even behind that wheel, but his hyung o_O Why the f*ck would the wife rash out on Doo Shik wishing he'd died instead of her husband and then years later she tells Doo Shik, she won't apologize and she's not resenting him anymore?!?!?!??!?!?! WHERE THE F*CK WAS THAT CAR ACCIDENT DOO SHIK'S FAULT? He was in the car with him and could've died as well... O gosh... I absolutely hate that wife of his hyung and I dislike Do Ha as well... ugh... couldn't stand those "forgiveness" scenes, because there was nothing to forgive... it was not Doo Shik's fault in the slightest... any of that... was kinda annoyed by this fact the whole episode today...
But GamRi grandma is my fave person in this whole drama now! I love her for saving Doo Shik!!!
