On See You in My 19th Life Jun 25, 2023
Just started this drama and I'm on ep 3.... and on what f****ing crack is the music supervisor/editor/director on? The background music in some scenes is so bad that I've thought several times about dropping this drama. It's so bad and doesn't fit the scenes and distracts me so much. I just want to turn it on mute sometimes. It destroys this drama for me... Oh god!

Same, I did not think it was his father but if you go back it kind of makes all the sense... I think that Mi Sook…
Well he seemed down to earth the whole drama, but turned out he's just a psycho good at acting šŸ˜…
The only reason I can think of that he stopped murdering is because Hae Joon was born. He had a desire to have a family or at least be a good father to his son. Well totally ironic since he messed up Hae Joon for good and literally killed him...
But in the end he wasn't even present in his life... maybe because the grandfather prevented it.
And we actually don't know what he did all those years in America...

Title My Perfect Stranger Spoiler
Even tho all clues were pointing at him, I really didn't want to believe it. But his father is indeed the serial killer 😱 And I guess he stopped killing after Hae Joon was born because he wished to have a family. That explains why the murders stopped. But Hae Joon is totally right. He was just a murderer with a heavy victim mentality. Hae Joon had the same fate with his mother and now even worse with a killer dad. But I'm still really baffled that his mom abandoned her baby and left him in care of a serial killer... This makes her absolutely horrible as well. And I'm not sure since when she knew, but if she said something, at least two people could have been saved... Sorry, but she's also a horrible person. And his grandfather is also horrible for wanting to cover up his son's crimes. I feel so bad for Hae Joon. His whole family is so f**ked up 😭

But why was Hae Joon killed in the future by him?? And was he really killed by his own father in the original timeline? And not by oblivious Yeon Woo who was a time traveler? It makes more sense that he was killed by time traveler Yeon Woo who didn't know that he was his son.
And why was Soon Ae killed? I still think Soon Ae was killed by someone else. If not, then her reaction before her death just seemed weird. She was obviously killed by someone close to her or someone she knew.

I really hope those questions will be answered in the last episode and no loose ends.
I wished they would have been back to 2021 by ep 16, but the time traveling failed. I still hope we get a reasonable amount of future in ep 16.

Why? There could thousands of legit reasons why he took a break.
There are quite a lot of dramas which seem outdated even tho they have a director who didn't take a break šŸ˜… So I don't really think that matters that much, but let's see how this is gonna be 😊

On Dr. Romantic Season 3 Jun 17, 2023
Loved it! This has been one of the best Kdramas of 2023 that I watched yet. I don't know why but I find the Korean dramas this year quite lacking so far... There is not one Korean drama that I felt like rating 10 this year. Hope the dramas in the second half are gonna be better. As a Kdrama addict I'd never knew that I prefer the Chinese dramas this year over the Korean ones šŸ˜…

Anyway, Dr.Romantic is a really nostalgic drama for me and I loved how so many of the cast members came back to give it life again! For me three seasons wrapped it up pretty much. Of course I'm always in for another season, but I felt so satisfied with the ending of season 3 that I don't need another one.
I'd actually prefer a prequel or a special with Kim Sabu and Jang Dong Hwa's sister Hyun Ju. If he heard her voice in critical situations or imagines seeing her, he must have been quite attached to her. I'd love to know their story and how Kim Sabu got his famous nickname from her. It's still a mystery what actually happened to Hyun Ju and how she died. I'm totally up for a prequel! 😁

hmm seems like a decent production but director having last work in 2016 is a bit of red flag

how come when ml's mother can come to see ml after the news to his home considered as an unbonded sympathy but…
It could have been that YWY came to see Hae Joon because he was worried about him after seeing the news, just like the tea house owner. But he made himself suspicious because he run away, stole the car and tried to escape with it... Then he hit the ML with the car and when he got off the car he didn't look like he was concerned about hitting Hae Joon...
I'm really curious where this is going...

Which loopholes do you mean?
With the scene change it does look like the news aired right after she got on the bus, but it were the 9 o'clock news and we don't know when she actually took the bus. There could be a time skip and she could've watched the news right after she get off at a train station or wherever she was and then decided to go back to warn him.

The father could have taken the car beforehand... but yes it did look like loopholes. Maybe we will get better explanations next week.

Title My Perfect Stranger Spoiler
So I'm trying to get the timeline:

1988 Hae Joon was born
2021 Hae Joon found the time machine car (age 33)
2037 Hae Joon was killed (age 49! - he didn't look like 49 at all. Was it really his 49 year old self who got killed? Or was he already a traveler?

If the killer is from 1987 and killed him in his original timeline, he must have been in his 70s. I doubt he was killed by someone that old. So it has to be someone from the past who traveled to the future with the car. And the only one who does know about it, is indeed just his father... Except if there are two time machine cars in 1987. Or someone who travels back and forth. Travels to 1987, kills someone, travels back.

Almost everything is pointing to ML's father as of now. And it is indeed suspicious how the culprit in ep 12 run away and escaped through the tunnel(!) Meanwhile ML's father also run away and wanted to escape through the tunnel, even with the time travel car now. But he doesn't have any connection to the victims, especially with Soon Ae in the future. Maybe Soon Ae got killed by someone else?

FL's uncle on the other hand had connections to the 1987 victims, future Soon Ae and to the time traveler Hae Joon. And why tf did he react to the news like that? Maybe the writers just wanted to play with us, so that we suspect him again.

I'm really torn between ML's father and FL's uncle. Both are suspicious as hell. Alongside with Go Mi Sook. Future Go Mi Sook and her mysterious talks and epilogues in the early episodes can't be just hot air, right? If she didn't kill the 1987 victims, maybe she killed future Soon Ae and left the matchbox there to copy the 1987 killer. Because she's a thief and loves to copy and steal lol

I'm really curious about the last two episodes and hope they will fill all the blanks. This drama is too good for a rushed half-assed ending! Please let it be good!

+EDIT: I messed up the timeline. When Hae Joon traveled to year 2037 he was already dead long ago. He said to future Go Mi Soo after he was released, that he died when he was 35... so in year 2023.

Hahahaha yes totally! I also thought it was suspicious how the camera angle of that restaurant tent chef was and thought "Is the killer there and listening to them?" XD Everyone and everything is suspicious as of now.

The writers are definitely playing with us until the end. The killer reveal might not be the killer reveal after all. I just don't think the killer is his father.
I don't know why he run away, but there has to be a reason for that. He just seems too smart to fall for Hae Joon's interview trap. And why would he stop the car after hitting Hae Joon? Doesn't seem to be something a ruthless killer would do. I think the ML's mother thought that her boyfriend is the killer, because she connected the string and the matchbox to it.

I'd rather go with FL's uncle Yu Seob. He was highly suspicious watching the news. And he has connections to both the first and second victim. His tragic past made me doubt him being the killer, but I think he fits more than ML's father.
And my main clue is still Soon Ae's words just right before she was killed in the future:
"No way...How could you...How... How could you deceive everyone after doing such a thing?"
She clearly knew the killer and had a deeper connection to him. The Uncle might have just pretended to have a mental disability, that's why she said "deceived".

Or there are several killers...
And I'm still not buying Go Mi Sook's tears. She's heartless. Be it in the past or the future.
The epilogues in the early episodes might be more of clue than we thought.

Sometimes I forget specific scenes, which could be important. Maybe gonna bingewatch all episodes again until next week, so everything is fresh in my mind :D

*addition: And for someone who had a rather intimate relationship with the first victim (the teacher), Yu Seob didn't seem sad at all when she died... or rather we never saw him mourning as of sort.
