It doesn't take a genius to understand why they didn't included this scene. Luckily one of his fan have this clip and posted it.

Those kind of fans, it's better that they leave. They are not trustworthy and will be more harmful to him. They can't even distinguish what is wrong or right, but jump into conclusion when they heard the rumors without verify all facts.

If I were his agency, I will report them and take them to court for defamation, circulating false information, destroying someone reputation by spreading rumors and contributing to the widespread of cyber-bullying on one of their actor.

In my opinion, this incident is just a cyber-bullying case where someone with malicious intention is using half true information to mislead people by uploading a short video and talking trash about Chengyi. Not everyone is blind and will believe all kind of rumors without verifying all facts. Personally, it was obvious this is an attempt to suppress a rising start. Cyber-bullying is inacceptable!!! Those rumors are exaggerated and didn't even reflected the reality of what truly happened. Some fans are just crazy and contributing to cyber-bullying Chengyi whose popularity is on the rising. So someone with malicious intention just take this opportunity to mislead people with half true information.

I want to clear this big misunderstanding brought by the event of September 20 to Chengyi personality. He is the biggest victim in this. Someone behind the scene is trying to spread bad rumors about him by making him look like a jerk who is not professional, cold and insensible toward his co-worker YBY. When I watched that 2 hours video, I didn't find him to be like what some people are saying he was. What I notice is that both actors (Chengyi and YBY) are sad and trying mutually to avoid to be friendly/close with each other. They were both miserable! And MOST importantly, YOUKU had deleted an important scene where Chengyi wasn't not even cold to her. Here is the link https://m.weibo.cn/status/4551634283662536 . He was the one who first try to give his microphone to her, you can see the Director hand gesture for her to take it (he must have know something and same for the actor who play her pet in this drama, that is why he tend his microphone toward her). Her agency must have told her to keep some distance and avoid making eyes contact with Chengyi.

That is why she took the pet snake Guy microphone rather then the one giving to her first by Chengyi. It must have been embarrassing for him that is why the director took his microphone away from his hand. This action is to convey a message: it ok, you were trying to give it to me BUT we can clearly see that his intention was to give it to her. This incident most have happen earlier in this show that is why he was trying so hard to distance himself from her and standing so stiff beside her and avoiding eyes contact throughout this show. This must have remind him to behave and stop being friendly with her and double it with his agency action by sending their spy to monitor them. Which make everything worse. Earlier in this show we can see him smiling (not as
happy and wholeheartedly as in their promotion show where he was smiling and shy), then his mood and attitude started to change. I can see he was uncomfortable, sad and hurting.

I think the crew knew something is up, especially the Director and the actor who play her snake pet, both seem to know more. I noticed Chengyi was talking and whispering to both of them. Then he got blame for being rude but not the snake guy who was talking with him nor the others actors who were also talking when the host or others were talking. How logical and fair. Blaming only one person. Attacking one person in particular with malicious rumour with half misleading information is called cyber-bullying.
And her being isolate or bully by all the crew is a false accusation spread by someone with

malicious intention or most likely by one of YBY immature fan (which is not the first time her fan have been

accusing others like the screenwriter of this drama, XJ character voiceover). And they are doing it again by

accusing the crew and Chengyi of bad behavior toward her (bullying, avoiding and isolating her) while it wasn't even the case. Are their eyes in their foot and brain made of jelly. Can't they see what is really going on rather

then always blaming others and making their idol appears victimized. These kind of fans are not helping their

idol at all, but will eventually be their idol downfall. Can't they see that both actors were trying hard to

distance themselves from each other and that they are both victims. Rather then shut up and being rational,

they have to stir thing up by helping some people with malicious intention to attack and cyber-bullying one

person in particular. This is inacceptable!!! When watching that short video I can see the owner intention was to mislead people with half true information. When reading people comments I was baffle on how things are exaggerated and blow out of proportion while the 2 hours video didn't appears to be worse like those comments make it seem to be. The biggest victim from this mess is Chengyi who got all the blame and hate.

I create a thread to discus about this, but it didn't appear Here. I want just to share the good new with you guys that Chengyi fan number start to rise back again when the true was revealed about what truly happen.

This kind of genre is not my cup of tea with tragic ending, but I am going to give it a chance while waiting for L&R eng sub. It look promising from the trailer and first episode. The FL give off a different vibe from her character in L&R and I am not a big cp shipper, so I have nothing against her pairing with CY in this drama. And CY character look interesting.

I know it’s frustrating, but I also understand why some people think she is replaceable and not CY.

In my opinion, most people have nothing against YBY interpretation of XJ. She did great, and I think greater than some famous actress who tend to make the FL annoying as HELL. I personally don’t find her interpretation of XJ annoying at all. It is more refreshing and cuter how she interpreted XJ character. Unfortunately, this kind of character doesn’t need the actress to have talent to do it well.

I think some people feel that the FL is replaceable because:
1) XJ’ s character personality as a clueless and innocent person didn’t required a lot of ability from the actress to interpreted it. Some actress acting this kind of personality are annoying, well other are watchable. It depends on the viewers personal preference. Personally, I like how YBY’s did her interpretation of XJ character. It’s better than others actress because she is cute and clueless without being annoying. Unfortunately, this kind of character doesn’t require the actress to have talent to be well execute. That is why people think XJ character can be play by another actress because it’s a character that can be play by any actress and no need to have skill in acting. But if the ML is change, there is going to have a huge impact because there are not many actors (from watching lot of dramas) who can execute different state of emotions in a micro-expression way. The ML character require more skill to execute and if change to another actor who doesn’t have the necessary skill then this drama will be like any other drama, blend and boring with as bonus a wooden or stiff demeanor actor (sadly some actors tend to portrayed this kind of ML). From this point of view, the ML is irreplaceable.

2) When it was time to show her ability, YBY fail to make people feel connect with her character in sad scenes. So I think her lack of ability to convey her sadness is another reason why some people think she is replaceable. In the earlier stage when she didn’t have her six senses, it was understandable but after getting them, when she is supposed to be sad there is something missing. It feels like we can see that she is sad, but we can’t feel it from the way it was execute, there is no inner emotion of sadness showing. If viewers can’t connect with a character, it won’t matter if the actress is change to another one, who may or may not, do a better job. That is the reasoning behind the fact that some think she is replaceable.

I have to admit that YBY acting need to be improve when it come to expressing sadness (in some scenes, she did well but in others, there is no inner emotion showing), otherwise her interpretation of XJ character is well done. I hope that she has family or friends who can point it out to her, so she can improve more and be successful in her future project.

Agree! ML is truly irreplaceable. His acting is natural. He can skillfully show different state of emotions with micro-expressions. And I have not seen many actor who can do it through out the whole drama. So his huge rise in popularity is because lot of people recognize his talent.
