this is amazing so far, so glad to see this kind of representation; I love how observant the FL is, she is very aware of how she is perceived and what others mean by their actions. It's very refreshing to see especially for a female character, and even more so for one who can be easily infantilized. The trailer made me skeptical that they would fall into the trap of infantilising her and making her helpless but cute, however, that's not the case here and I love it. I also think the ML's personality was a great choice, to make him kind to begin with (toward anyone), and then also showing that he gets frustrated or feels awkward from time to time around the FL, which is more realistic. Had they made him prejudiced or just distant, then it could have easily trapped him into a caricature, and worse, possibly even leading the character to being condescending toward the FL. That's because the "bad boy" stereotypical character typically falls in love due to the "cuteness" of someone like the FL (but this cuteness would be directly linked to her disability which is an issue). For example, with her not being able to go through the revolving doors, it could have easily been watered down to the ML finding the situation amusing and resulting in finding the FL adorable. On the surface, it seems lovely but underneath that, it would be insulting to the FL who genuinely struggles with it due to her autism. Instead, the ML helps her out (as he would for anyone else) and takes her seriously, without it being played off as comedic. To us, the audience, it's sweet as he is treating her with respect and offering useful advice to her without treating her like an infant. So yeah, I find everything great so far, I'm excited to see how the FL will eventually process her feelings toward the ML later down the line too.
Ps: I was also grateful for the wlw representation. I thought it was beautiful how the wedding dress slipping off, revealing the buddhist tattoo of the character was symbolic of how she revealed her true (naked, literally) heart to everyone present: the fact that she is wlw/gay. It was a clever comparison, associating the grandfather's disapproval of her to the fact that she is buddhist when he thought she was a christian. It's an accessible metaphor for queerness! That made me very happy
KIMCHAY crying hours open featuring "why don't you stay"
Genuinely kind of flabbergasted that they were the one couple that had a bad ending. Predictably it could have been VegasPete, but it was more logical and sensible to end it the way they did. It was very satisfying, rip kimchay tho but im sure we'll see them get closer properly in the second season
To some extent i was thinking there'd be no way he actually died but that little doubt within me was making me wonder how id even begin to process it if that was actually it djdhdh
Late bc yesterday was absolutely chaos irl, but I'm here for it >grabs coffee. It is very interesting how Peteβs…
Thank you, im happy you do ^^
Indeed, and ep 1 of UN was still alright, but then ep 2 was just so dull and ruined whatever hope i still had for it. Iβll still check theβ rest out in hopes that it gets better tho
Every word from Pete in this scene is like a stab in Vegas heart and I love every second of it! For me this is…
The way the characters are suffering and weβre just loving every bit of it lol, all jokes aside, Iβm glad that the series has changed it so that VegasPete are better understood as a pair/couple, as you were saying about yourself. I think Iβd start balling my eyes out if either Pete or Vegas reveal their feelings openly to one another, Iβd be prepared and still now I want it
Ikr, it's as if Vegas realizes the way he has largely contributed to that. Made the (seemingly) happy go lucky…
Yes and to also bear the weight of realising that, whilst previously Pete would have gladly died out of honor, duty and pride, now he wants to die because of Vegas, and that would be the worst outcome of all. Bible is indeed incredible

Youβre so adorable for taking the time to answer, especially since my comment was really long!! I like that you mention Peteβs tattoo which really does come back time and time again as the essence of what drives Pete as a character as you said. And yeah, Iβd agree that Porsche is definitely more pure-hearted in a sense, whereas Pete hides an inner darkness. Yet theyβre also oddly similar such as in the bathroom scene where Pete keeps everything to himself, similarly to how Porsche did in episode 5. βDeath no, but I want conflict!β Truer words have never been spoken. I think itβs because this series is incredibly adept at portraying and developing conflict. Sure there is a tad bit of sloppiness in the writing here and there but the conflict really enthralls you in a way that feels like youβre dealing with real people, not characters, which says a lot. On the other hand, a series like Unforgotten Night makes me roll my eyes at the βconflictβ because itβs unnecessary and frustrating, adding nothing significant to the plot nor exploring the characters meaningfully. They just waste a ton of screen time. But yes, im so excited for the final episode but scared its going to end
