Yeah I stopped watching there was just too much going on 😭

I just want a slice of life palace drama. They are so obvious with their plots now😮‍💨

I'm trying to watch this but it's way too much going on. You have like 4 different evil factions and then you have the guy lurking from fl childhood on top of that the mystery about whose behind the masks. The obviously annoying storyline of the Shen girl falling for the married right chancellor who is like 15 years older than her and his obvious eventual descent to the bad side which she will become stupid and follow him there only to turn back after someone close to her dies....

I did but at the same time. His decisions still lead to her families downfall in her original life. ML had already set everything in place for her.

I'm kinda conflicted about Prince Qin death. I get that they have a history but it kinda annoys me when the 2ndml dies in FL arms as she cries after he has just been horrible to her.

I would've done it in a way where is there but at the same time we never see his face. I would've had most of his scenes with him just being a hero with a mask and the others where we see him from his back. They have a big enough cast where doesn't have to be prominent

They could've easily did the series without replacing Bong Seok actor imo

Rewatching some episodes and I hate the FL friends even more now🤣

It's actually good. They don't really get together until the early 20 episodes but their chemistry is amazing. The first 10 episodes are kinda slow though due to a misunderstanding but it's also establishing the characters and story and stuff but yeah you can just skip through it or only watch the scenes with ML and FL. But the ending is super happy and satisfying 🤣

Family By Choice was really good. The romance started late but the story was great

I'm on episode 25 and Cui Jin and Bu Shu are starting to look alike. Is it just me?🤣

May be my favorite drama of 2026 it's right there with Pursuit of Jade.

I thought the crime plot was well done I could've done without the whole jealousy subplot in the middle. Now I want the 2 leads in a bubbly room com similar to The Best Thing🤣

Their chemistry was phenomenal. Only part of this drama that has me scratching my head is how in the hell is FL looking like she has been through hell after that one stab to the shoulder with that tiny ass knife while Zhang got stabbed with that big ass butcher knife and seems to be fine🤣

Yeah it's good but the only thing to really anticipate was the reveals.(When people find out he is healed, when ML finds out what happened with fl, etc ....) The leads really carried the story imo. So no one really felt like a threat, even when things did go bad I wasn't nervous about anything🤣

Yeah and it's so overdone at this point

I pray they don't go the typical cdrama rout and have FL mom try to get her with 2ml
