Great awesome BL
This is a great awesome series. It was done very well. I love all of the characters and they played their part very well. It shows many emotional situations that teenagers go thru and shows how to resolve them in the proper way. Maybe idealistic but I think there should be BL's that are displaying life as this is the way we hope things should be. I'm so glad the ending was good and the correct couple got together. For sure both main characters get best actor awards. Woo Tay and Noe Shin. Nam is honorable mention too. Cinematography and Music all very well done. A good watch. Was this review helpful to you?

Great Qualities
So this is another strong Taiwanese BL series not at but seriously close to the history series in overall quality. The cast is all wonderful including the female cast which are usually embarrassingly annoying in most other BL's.I wish they would have acknowledged the time as adults when Shu Yi comforted Gao when his dad left. I also think the idea of Shu Yi being Gao's servant was a bit weird but entertaining none the less. Sometimes the story line went off track with the leads but didn't spend enough time on the secondary characters. Especially with Pie and Liu. The last little issue is with the end. Well, It was a little issue that becomes a big issue once the 1st episodes of season 2 is watched. I'm on episode 2 of season 2 and I have major issues so far. I hope that they can somehow draw me back in because as of now I'm emotionally out of season2.... and it has also affected season one for me. So be form warned about season 2.

Ya know!!!
I either hate or I love Pinoy BL's. This is the 1st one that I like a really really large amount. There are somethings to Love about this BL. Most of it comes from things the Danreb says. Then it turns around to things that JM says. Both from completely different view points and both in my opinion correct. On the down side there are a lot of lose ends that just fall of the plate or script so to speak. No spoilers but how JM wound up going from last relationship to a pick up site? Family, friends, and the house? Anyway, it was very enjoyable for the most part. The music, songs and singing was very good. Not sure if I want a season 2 that cements the idea that for me this was a very good BL series on the verge of greatness sometimes but just not great in totality. Again in my opinion. Was this review helpful to you?
Food and BL
I give it a D+ for being different...deserts and singers and BL. Really more like a B+ There is a lot to like about this series. That is why I say my biggest negative is the 10 minute episodes. I think I would have gotten very frustrated if I had to wait a week for another 10 minutes especially when 2 minutes is the beginning intro and ending credits. So I often say that it may be that if they added more it may have resulted in an inferiors series. Who knows with this theme being so different they may have been able to expand to 20 to 25 minute episodes and added to the depth of the stories. I liked all of the characters and thought the did very well to their characters. Different and good story... good cinematography etc. Likeable cast. That sums it up.Was this review helpful to you?

Bad messages sent
So the messages this story sent me are: 1.) Rich boys who gamble and rob someone with a knife can turn into a romantic relationship. Sure forgiving is one thing but come one... 2.) Nice medical student can be ripped off twice because main character is taken by rich kid who previously robbed him? Maybe season 2 will show that was a bad decision. I hope so.The sister was a very good character and did a good job with acting. Not Usual with BL women. Also there was a lot of typical BL themes presented here. I thought they worked ok except the beach scene seemed foreced. Oh yeah the second couple story with the "I left you because I was depressed story" seemed forced and didn't flow. Also the quick I forgive you was a bit much for how upset King seemed to be. I'm hoping for better in season 2. Cinematography and music were really the best qualities. Also all characters were very attractive.

Awesome series
The Pilipino BL series are certainly not following a script like the Thai BL mostly do. And Thank-you for that. The scene the topics the scenario's are all very unique and interesting. Some do fulfill the initial interest and some exceed the initial interest. that's the case with Like in the movies. Warm touching and engaging. That describes the characters and the script. Ian certainly gets my Top actor award with Paolo very close runner up. Paolo's character was a bit more challenging so maybe he would win in the technical merit category. Anyway, Salute to all involved in creating this series. It will be viewed for many many years. I'm sure! Was this review helpful to you?

One of the best except...
This was an amazing series for 9 episodes. The chemistry between the couples was just off the charts. Wilson Liu is just too much I can't get enough of his smile and facial expressions. He is going places. I docked it a point because of Ep 10. I saw it coming in EP 9. It was a typical BL story that was anything but typical for 8.5 episodes. There is a season 2? I hope both couples are in it. Yeah I know but I have to say it. The writing casting and direction are exceptional. I wonder if there is a book that this follows. Was this review helpful to you?
This series is a the best!
It's original, the actors are great even 2nd line, music is awesome. The best part is I grew to love the series more and more as series went on. No real bad tangents , etc. I have to say Jake Hsu grew on me too. At first I thought he was ok as each episode pasted I grew to love him so much. He really should have won awards for his performance. I really want to watch this series again. I'm sure I will. I laughed I cried, I was shocked and surprised and most of all was totally engaged into the story and the characters. Bravo! Was this review helpful to you?
It's pretty good! Really!
Geez, ya know I was thinking "oh no not another baking series", now I'm like "ya know this should have been a longer series. " Seems too short and the writers got lost a few times. I can see the writers going like "oh shit we only have 2 episodes left." LOLSeriously folks, the cast was really great. Ohm is a so-so acter but I really hated Shin in this series so I have to say Ohm did a good job at portraying an unlikeable character. All Guide has to do is smile and he's adding to the series. So with all it's flaws this is really an 8.0 series but I rated it a 9.0 that's because the cast was so strong even with a poorly written script...AND the rating here on MDL is too low. Yeah it's not right but that's what I do. (lol)
I would have liked to have seen Atom with someone and yeah Guy and Oab would have been sweet.
BTW I thought Grandma was just great.
For sure someone with a keen insight could have made this into an 8 or even 10 episodes and improved the story line.
This was so close. It is still watchable and for me rewatchable.
Lastly, It's better than most of the other series that have been airing the last half of 2023.

It's not a 10 but...
Well for sure it isn't a 10 rated BL series, but it's not a 3. Truth being that for me, as long as Joong smiles a few times an episode I'm satisfied! Also if he raises his eyebrows' and goes shirtless once an episode that really can forgive a lot of script weakness.Yes the "Hidden Agenda" was not hidden for very long nor was it hidden very well at all. Therefore, this is for sure a "B" BL series...similar to B Movie. All the other stuff was acceptable, music was kind of generic for me. (yeah minus Joong singing.) Story was generic. School stuff Generic. Family was uneventful.
Joong was a good cast for Joke but I can't say the same for Dunk as Zo. I'll leave it at that. NIta and the Grandmother were good female characters.
My only other cast issues is what happened to Pat? Pok and Jeng are fine but Louis as Pat is the next most interesting actor in the entire series. It's like he fell off of the screen. (Did I forget something)
The Finale could have had a more secondary character involvement and I didn't really get Zo or the the fathers moment of realization: "oh I'm being a wanker and I should stop!" Not done well at all!
Yes it's watchable and yes it had some good entertaining spots, but yes it's time for Joong and DunK to grow up. No more school series for them please!

This a Good BL
This not a great BL it's a good BL. It could have been great because the casting was very strong. Especially the secondary characters. I almost wish...well any of the secondary characters would have been a better Dao. Maybe it was the premise of the series, someone who had a crush on someone so they secretly did school assignments for them??? At first I was like ok (?) maybe there's more to it, but no that didn't happen. I did think there was chemistry between the main couple but it wasn't hot and passionate, but it did seem like they liked and cared for each other. Funny thing was it seemed to me that Khab liked Dao more, or it was more obvious. Anyway there are a lot of good aspects to this BL. Best award goes to Joong a Khab and best support goes to Pepper as Phoon. Dunk was ok as Dao I just didn't really take to him or the character. Yes it could be scripting and direction issue for sure. Again I must say that the support cast was all very strong and likeable. Over all a good watch. Note I didn't say great, but it could have been. Was this review helpful to you?
