On hold after ep 4... I really wish they didn't bother with romance esp this pairing... I found they was a big difference between the two leads aa the ML looks like he was still in high school so that turned me off the whole thing. Liked the FL character til she instantly fell for the slightest flirt from a boy π
Acting is mediocre though I have to take the 2015 date of production into consideration. Liked the story but I'm also sucker for childhood sweethearts and meeting up later arcs. ML is gorgeous which was the main reason for starting this but wouldn't watch it again.
I watched episode 8 and I'm sorry but I can't bring myself to hate Sang Yeon. Yes, she did many wrong things,…
I think up to ep8 I understood why she was the way she was. After that though, as you keep watching, you might change your mind. Update us and see if you still feel the same after later eps.
My heart broke when the brother died and it never really recovered throughout the series. Whilst I understood sangYeong and where she came from, I also did not care for her character or anything to do with her. She was toxic. I was so proud of Eunjung at the way she handled herself at every interaction except for the fact that she was there for SangYeong to the end. SY deserved to die alone and pathetic. The acting from both FL was phenomenal and I have a new found respect for KGE. I've liked her in almost everything I've seen her in but this just elevated her status for me. Well done!
Acting was quite mediocre by all but Yang Bing Zhuo was probably the worst, probably needs more experience. My first time watching Xu Yi Yang in a drama and she's gorgeous, her role was okay.Story was not original but nothing really is anymore.
Okay WTF is this legal eagle rubbish!!! If you ain't gonna comply with the most basic legal principles why bother doing a legal drama?!
A lawyer represents both parties in a violence case, both the victim and the perpetrator?! In what universe would this not be a conflict of interest?!
Hui Ji goes off on her lil goody miss two shoes adventure violating her clients' confidentiality and providing unsolicited legal advice to people whose interests are directly the opposite of her clients'!
Then a lawyer who has been one for 10 yrs mind you, who has met with a potential client gets told to offload that client cos the opposing party pays more?!! Then the Principal states that the potential client never retained them and it's not even against the Attorney at law Act?!! And all a 10 year veteran has to say is, this could be a problem?! How about that they are in violation of that same Act as the potential client doesn't necessarily have to have signed anything to retain them in order to establish a client/solicitor relationship! They had already shared details of the matter therefore they should be bound by confidentiality alone!
This kind of lazy writing infuriates me hence my very very low score!
On top of that, the lawyers are dull af, is that the point of the show? To show how beaten they are by the system? Then at least make the facts make sense!!!
Why not just make them foodies who work at law firms but never show any details of the cases?!
Thankfully Beyond Bar is now on and so far, that writer seems to have done some research at least!
I can see you've already dropped it so I am not going to repeat what other reviewers have already mentioned. But…
So because you don't deem the inappropriate relationship the main plot of the show makes it ok for a teacher to have an inappropriate relationship with a minor?! You calling this inappropriate relationship between a teacher and a minor 'romance' is also a bit concerning when it should be regarded as sexual misconct with a minor, abuse of position or statutory rape - take your pick.
when you say appears like an inappropriate relationship, is the guy still 17 when they get together? still at sch? it seems so from clips I've seen.... if so, what is it that just 'appears' to be inappropriate about it?! and not downright inappropriate?
