I'm finding he's trying too hard to be indifferent, if that makes any sense. I'm not drawn to him, he's just boring me. The long drawn out speeches and the monotone nature of his voice just makes it slower. Will wait till a few eps so I can binge, maybe I'll feel it more.
At ep 12, why do scenes seem disjointed? I'm not ffwding but sometimes it feels like I did due to the editing. For eg, when they were both in the gaol cell and the FL pushed the ML back and he fell on a spear then he pulled her down and got stabbed too. The very next scene, he's standing in the palace talking to someone! And nothing else was mentioned of the incident. I had to rewatch just to check I didn't miss anything. As for the cast, I'm not a big fan of Jeremy Tsui, he's apparently retiring, no great loss for me. Im thankful for them dubbing JLR's voice, his monotone expressions would've led me to drop this. I'm a big fan of Landi Li, she's a bit cringey at times here but still love her.
