I don’t think people understand just how irrelevant Chanyoung is.
Like think of Heesu’s sisters. They’re side characters. They got the perfect amount of screen time— anytime we saw them, wwe got insights into Heesu’s character or they were the catalyst for some of his decisions-moving the plot along.
Now imagine if ALMOST HALF of multiple episodes showed Heesu’s sisters, irrelevant and random stuff that added nothing to the plot—> That’s what Chanyoung is like. WHYYYY were we seeing so much about tennis and his home life????????? No one ever cared.
They should have treated Chanyoung like the side character he is. Only show scenes of him relevant to the plot. And lowkey Jiyu too. idc about her music 😹😹😹😹 like sorry, but idc. Like they should have kept it cute like they did with Hosik. Like one or two short scenes with him knitting, like yeah that’s cute. Not freaking 20 minutes out of a 35 min ep (cuz 5 mins is ending credits)
This “slow burn” wouldve been a manageable if we weren’t seeing another couple being so cute and everything. like comparing Heesu x Seungwon to Jiyu x Chanyoung so far is just depressing. I’m gonna need these boys to PICK UP THE PACE
The pacing was so slow for no reason ugh. Everything between “let’s go to the cabin” and when they acc got there could’ve been cut — all we needed to know was they lost the food in the taxi.
I don’t want the ENTIRE show to be a lead up to them finally getting together. I want to see full episodes of when they’re acc together just like CY and JY wtf!!!!!!!!
I think they focused on the straight couple in the first four episodes to build up views. Now that Chanyoung has told Jiyu he likes her, their relationship feels well established—whereas Heesu and Seungwon’s story is just getting started. 🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️
