I enjoy the drama and their chemistry. In the novel I got the feeling it was more about lust than love and found WKX too insisting. But it is just my taste. You might like it.

I liked the Untamed and like the new one. But many couple fans are toxic as they want their ship to be real.

Please stop spreading rumors. The Untamed fans are not necessarily XZ fans. A lot of drama fans or CP fans (not in his recognized fandom) and these are only XZ fans

I think most of the actors looked worse than their usual appearance. I think it had a lot to do with those awful…
It is a fantasy world and not a fashion show and they still looked good when they fought which usually not possible in real life.

Novel or not - it is is still fun. My only complaint is the fake kiss in the end - what was up with that. lol…
the romance was hinted all the way and she wanted to kiss him. It was still an innocent kiss to me and quite cute.

Many just put X or Y actor picture as profile picture and not sure they are really their fans but rather come here just to stir up fight with novel or donghua lovers. If you are fan of a specific actor, you would have watched and rated other dramas, as I suppose it is not his first one. Same with many new accounts who came only to criticize the drama or to downrate it on purpose because they do not like the actor or the actress.

tang san and xiao wu are cute as siblings. it was weird hearing tang san say "she is my lover" and xiao wu kissing…
the translation was a bit off. He said she is the person I love. She always wanted to kiss him after what the other girls said.

You have to see this as a separate entity on its own. I read the novel too. enjoyed both and seeing Soul land…
I read the novel too, watched the anime but still liked the drama and took it for what it is : a drama. You can give it a try later
