I've been putting this lakorn on my watch list since forever.

What you've said is absolutely true.
I'm not talking about the things in this drama, I'm relating them to real life.
What I mean is if we see in the show when he called her just because he care about her when he saw her on tv, in the show it was care. But when you see this in real life and if your consulting doctor called you saying he saw you on tv and that you tired so you need to do this and that, I would feel creepy(I don't know about a lot of people, it's just my perspective). Yes in real life also that person might call out of concern but that feels very uncomfortable.

I'm going to give a very honest opinion of this drama which I had since I started watching it. This is not to offend anyone and please don't attack me for this opinion.
The drama is good and nice and all but NGL it felt a little off when I compare it to real life. I mean in this drama I liked the leads and the story.
But when you imagine a guy having a crush on a girl and then just tries to constantly talk to her or message her, taking advantage of his profession and asking her to visit the clinic, or putting her in a tight spot and inviting her to his house feels very off. I mean if this was irl, atleast a lot of girls avoid these kind of guys.
Since it's a drama this looks fine. But in real life this kind of flirting is like a huge no. It's just that I keep relating a lot of scenes in the drama to real life scenarios and it feels a bit disturbing.
But looking at this in a different view, if the girl is very much comfortable and also likes the guy, then this kind of flirting feels normal.
I don't mean to offend anyone, even though this drama is really good, it's killing me not to point this out.

All three are considerably amazing dramas. Love between lines is still on air. I personally liked both shine on me and love between lines. I just can't choose between them. But I think Love between lines has a little bit of unique element in it which feels interesting. I suggest you go with Love between lines.

But I really hope he doesn't go all rogue and evil. If he confess his feelings maturely it's good, but if he impose them on her, then definitely that's a huge no and he definitely won't deserve redemption.
Let's see how all of this unfolds.

What you are saying is totally true, and to date someone like that is a nightmare.
But what we are saying by looking at this optimistically is that if none of those misunderstandings happened then maybe he wouldnt even have those insecurities.
Idk how his character will turn out in the future, i only read the first book, but for now i think he isnt that worse given the circumstances. But even after knowing the whole truth if he now critisizes her then definitely yes he'll be the worst.
But for now i do feel bad for his character and pity him for whatever happened to him and whatever he did.
And again all this depends on each person's way of percepting things. I like how we all are percepting a single character in so many ways.

I only remember that wedding scene where he was very rude to her. But to be very frank not just defending him, if there's a person whom i know since years and another person whom i don't really know or even talked to properly, i would mostly support the person ik. Because in the before scenes he didn't know about fl's real self. And after he got to know it was too late and he's so guilty that he doesn't even talk to her.
When many people are saying he was very rude with her, the whole time they didn't even have a considerable amount of dialogues.
I guess the longest scene of theirs was the wedding and the bus stop where he kindof confess his feelings but again he wont be direct and she thinks it was rong.

Yes it's true that he never tries and that's the problem. Also I mean to ask this like generally, does the sml sees the message and ignores it? Or is it not shown?
Because i have this crazy feeling if he didn't see it or what if rong deleted that message.
If it's shown that he ignores wantedly ig i missed that scene.

I also have a different theory here, correct ne if I'm wrong.
When he said she broke the promise, did he mean she told that she would wait for him and she didnt, or when she told that your love will come to dedinitely and then he thought she went abroad to study and thought she broke the promise?
Because FL thinks the first one because she didnt know that he meant her in the later scene.

I understood what you all are saying. But in a different perspective if he got to know her truly, he mightve never insulted her. What I'm trying to say is a lot of people are looking in one perspective, lets just hypothetically try the other too.
Also in the other drama the ml doesnt just reject her, he rejects her pretty bad by insulting her.
I'm just saying perspective is all that matters.
If I'm looking it from fl's perspective definitely he's a huge red flag and yes do run.
If I'm looking through sml's perspective, when he misunderstood her he's rude to her and when he got to know the facts, he's guilty and he regrets which is pretty useless at this stage.
If you are perceiving it through a 3rd person, being neutral that is what i think.
But if there were never those misunderstandings and the sml is a trashy character i wouldve cursed him more and it would've been very easy to accept the fact that he doesnt stand a chance to her.

At first i felt the same too. But it was shown as comical as possible to keep it light but cant underlook that thing. But its Lin Yi so people love him.

Not to offend anyone but I really don't understand why the sml is getting this much of hate. I mean yes he was a bit wrong but mostly it was a lot of misunderstanding from a lot different perspectives.
I dont know how many of you all have watched "Everyone Loves Me" drama. I loved the drama a lot. But to be very fair and compare the events, fl proposed to ml very openly infront of the whole university and he straight on the face harshly rejected her. And since he was the ML we never really had it against him. Once they both got together it was a happy ending.
It's almost the same case here but it's not that worse because sml didnt reject her in public and due to a lot of misunderstanding he didn't really like the FL. But if he was the ML and this was the main plot we would all feel bad for them due to how unfortunate the events turned out to be.

He didn't know Xi Guang was going there right?! His brother wanted them to go there so that sml could meet fl. After seeing FL there he even asked his brother if he knew about it.
