I'm just hype for the second season. It's better imo to have a second season but with some actor changes than to wait for possibly many more years just to confirm the original casts. And may I add, most of us came into the show blind. Like top 10 in 70 contries? The viewers were mostly non-Kdrama fans! So I wouldn't be too worried for this. Also it's not like the actors' (who were not casted again) acting were superb or anything, yes they did their job but that kinda was it.
Here is a new take, JCW can act out non-action roles. His acting has been pretty consistent since around 2014 and I would say he is decent in acting out those non-action stuff. Yes some of his dramas were disappointing but imo JCW wasn't the problem. His acting in his latest series (Lovestruck in The City) was one of his best and he had good chemistry with his fellow actors so I wouldn't worry about him in this upcoming drama. Also the plot is looking pretty good and promising so I'll definitely be looking forward for this one.
Definitely worth watching way more that that MDL score suggests! It is a slow-paced drama with a slice-of-life feel but also has that twist which is ofc time travelling. There's no traditional "villain" in this series but they still managed to glue the viewers to the plot. Loved the support roles and ofc our 2 main leads :) A feel good drama with great chemistry and good writing. Not perfect but very very enjoyable
For me personally, it should've been even shorter. The comedic factor for me kind of faded towards the end, maybe becasue I binged it or maybe the fact that there's not a lot of variation in the comedy side of things. A good one time watch especially those earlier episodes where you kind of don't know where things would be going. Some iconic funny scenes are amazing. The different stories definitely helped on giving viewers the sense of a long conventional series eventhough the episodes don't really connect that much with each other. My score is around 7.5 or8.
Would've given it a 8.5 or 9 if it wasn't for the ending. Up until ep 5 or 6, the story flowed naturally and purposefully, I absolutely loved it. But towards the end, the plot unraveled just for the sake of plot twists and the story became either too explanatory or ends with a cliff hanger. Nevertheless, it was still a very enjoyable and intriguing Netflix Original!
She just needs to work on her intonation and emotion on delivering some lines cause it could come out as monotonic at times. But other than that, a great acting debut! She did all that in her acting debut 🙂
How would you guys feel if there's a Season 2 for this? The ending felt like they could build so much from it for future season(s) but then again, I'm absolutely fine with the current ending too.
It's a netflix-standard of a very well done original korean series production. The story and writing was great, just felt like it could've been a bit better towards the end as it felt very slow but then suddenly rushed but it was kind of a minor thing. The acting and character was spot on. It told a story that wasn't highlighted before and they do it in a intriguing way that you will most definitely finish this in a sitting. A heavy topic, yes, but it was wrapped in a mixture of dynamics between the characters that is sometimes funny, exciting and gut-wrenching. For me, it was a 9/10.
What a way to end my kdrama hiatus by watching this :D I loved every single bit up until ep 9, after that the writing got a bit lousy in the story progression. Other than that, a very very well done series! Oh and by the way, they have my vote for the cutest couple of the first half of 2021 ☺️
