I liked the FL's sister more than the FL. Her love story with Wei Yu Quan is way better than the main characters.…
I agree with everything you say, savvygl, except the FLs hair styling. She may no longer conform to the cisgender female beauty stereotype but Eugenie is undeniably beautiful; short hair or otherwise. I do somewhat have an issue with her clothing styling, now that she's no longer playing the role of a man (in ep 23 onwards). It's too androngynous for my taste. But I feel like it's in keeping with current IRL fashion trends for young women, so meh., I'm old, what do I know.
I thought I would be heartbroken after the big reveal, but I was actually excited and laughed so hard, not as…
I found the reveal funny too! I think because(as you called it so early) it was SO melodramatic. I was making the dramatic twist music (Dun.Dun. DUN) Out loud to myself as it happened 🤣
I love Eugenie and Marcus so I'm quite surprised to find myself more invested in Yu Quan and Jing Fan's story.
I was hoping her awesome slaps in ep 24, might’ve knocked some awareness into him and brought back memories of their steamy night. When that didn't happen, I was waiting for her to blurt it out, as a way to get back at him (to my shame ;D) I feel like they're constantly skirting the edge of a train wreck romance and I cannot look away. SO MUCH chemistry between them!
For some time and I don't know why; I've wanted to see a Li Xian and Sandra Ma pairing. I personally don't think this makes any sense. But. But. It keeps popping into my brain, and you've just supplied me with the perfect forum to say it out loud! Maybe in an enemies to lovers Rom Com. I think Sandra Ma is wildly under-utilised for her comic acting capacities. Or in a climate change drama/thriller, scuba diving epic with Li Xian in a wetsuit.... Sorry just got sidetracked in my mind for a moment.
Unpopular opinion - Maybe MYC deserves some sympathy too - I can already hear the cries of nooooo ringing out…
I definitely feel this too. I personally don't find his care for the FL creepy, but rather misguided - she doesn't love him in a romantic way, he needs to let it go. BUT He was the one who bonded with her first, when they were children, and NOT as a brother! (See the scenes with the stuffed bunny in early ep's) As an adult, he never actually crosses any boundaries with her, just expresses his own confused emotions, which is actually remarkable, considering his controlling and boundary destroying mother.
I am actually hooked on the idea of him finding growth, redemption and a HEA.
What about the teasers does not seem fun to you? It looks like a lot of fun to me.
Yes definitely! I've watched them now, thanks to someone posting links on the drama page. It looks good! The teasers give a much better idea of what to expect, than any of the articles have done.
"...filled with audacity."?!? I am planning to just watch this and make up my own mind about the story. Based on promotion on MDL and elsewhere, it is tending to defy translation. But the cast is worth viewing!
It's good so far but it does assume some knowledge of the previous season even though about 6 months have passed.…
So my idea about 'friend'...
The midnight phone call to Yeon Joo Hyeon, makes me think 'Chingu' is still in action, just with a new avatar in Joo Hyeon. She resembles Taek Rok in being someone who won't let go once she bites. So to me, she makes sense as the next choice to meet Chingu's needs.
