Although I canât expect anyone to live up to Yoshidaâs flawless portrayal of the chief role I just really hope that he still has some of his unexpected charm in this adaptation and that the complexity of his character isnât reduced to give room for the main couple. Really excited to see what they do with the series!
Such a missed oppertunity to not jokingly hint at a Kurosawa and Takegawa relationship at the very end with no follow through like in the previous season and movie. Literally one of my favourite gags every time I rewatch.
I love the way that this season is focusing on the idea of love as companionship in old age. I feel like it's a big and kinda scary theme to take on because of how personal it can be. Takegawa is obviously the main example of it but icl some Kurosawa's scenes almost bring me to tears, he deserves the world.

But the reality is not everyone can hope and afford gaining their sight back, in fact most visually impaired people…
I feel like this is a case of differences between whatâs âbestâ for the story and whatâs âbestâ for a specific character. Although Day regaining his vision would obviously be positive for him, it doesnât really fit thematically (in my opinion). It seems to me from the behind the scenes that Aof really wants to communicate an understanding of the reality that blind people live with, which obviously shows some the struggles, but also puts a great deal of effort into showing how joy and happiness can still be found in the world. Dayâs arc of gradually adapting to his new experience and finding happiness feels really hopeful to me so I just feel like it would be a bit wild for them to resolve his story like that, especially when itâs not accurate to the experience they are trying to portray. (Not to say that it necessarily wouldnât work thematically if storylines were tied up well, I just think it would be a bit convoluted. But I guess only time will tell!)
Manifesting finally getting a happy end for my girl Chizu!!! Love or Dead was awesome but the casual off screen destroying of her relationship was just evil đ
Finally a BL with a real love triangle I mean obviously we know Kawi and Pisaeng are gonna end up together but…
Yeah I love how they actually put effort into the Kawi/Pear thing. (They're actually mad cute sometimes ngl). Overall it just makes the whole triangle interesting and makes her more than just a throwaway love interest.
