I died when he said so straight forwardly "I want to protect you as your husband!" gahhhhh The sisterhood team up against the bratty prince was epic! Changge's list of the past exploits from her younger days in Chang'an, just goes to show she was a bratty princess too before all the tragedy and hardship. All those young men were so terrified of her haha. I have to say I'm glad Wei Shuyu was honest about his feelings with Leyan and doesn't lead her on. Leyan's response was truly courageous and mature! She has grown such a backbone. Glad she stayed true to who she has become and knows she deserves better than just someone fighting for her because they have been strong armed into it, out of pity or brotherly kindness. She'er's mother is so cruel! Watching She'er come up to Mimi after her chat with his mother was just so ironic. He has absolutely no idea how much the status of master and slave inherently fuels Mimi's suffering. He says he loves her but completely doesn't understand the status disparity between them is toxic and not a good foundation for any sort of relationship. He's so naive and clueless. But you can see he's starting to see who his mother truly is. He's finally starting to grow up.
