When I tell you I haven't felt this good about a gmm show since Bad Buddy, I am not exaggerating. If you are procrastinating about watching ThamePo, wondering if it's really worth the hype, the rating, etc, take it from me (a professional procrastinator who's always doubting mdl ratings, haha), THIS is your sign to watch it now.

Lots of comments about Ming's toxicity but not enough comment about how WUT IS THE F*CKING GOAT OF THIS SHOW. I've never staned a side character like I staned P'Wut in this series 🥰 (oh and yes it was a great show, highly recommend, love love love Up as always and Poom was a revelation for me, dude was brilliant okthankyougoodbye)

7.9/10 for this incredible piece is crazy work. Go watch it now but with a massive trigger warning for absolutely everything you can think of. Absolutely everything.

I am so confused at the rating 😭 like yeah don't get me wrong, it was good, but not 8.4/10 good. It took me more than a week to finish it because I kept getting bored in the middle of it but I still wanted to see how it ends.
1- when Ô WHEN will Earth Katsamonat, an almost 30yo grown man will finally be casted in a role HIS AGE? Come on now, give my man an actual mature character instead of always making him play an 18yo first year innocent college student.This gem of an actor deserves BETTER.
2- I wasn't really into the HillTer ship. I love Mond and Earth separately but together... not so much.
3- Another nth college life bl... Like yeah we get it. They're often all and the same. This one wasn't the exception.
4- I did like the JohanNorth better but I'm partial to Bas... 😬 he and Maxky had a wonderful bond.
5- lowkey want to see FahPhoon in season 2 tho 👀

I personally feel like Ter was somewhat aware of Wandee's feelings for him and used them to ask to give him the scholarship opportunity. Like dude literally rejected him, calling him "too vanilla" and then right after said "btw about the scholarship thing, can you like give it up for my sake teehee". That's how I understood the situation 🤷‍♀️

I condemn neither rape nor murder in fiction but I will say I don't think you can compare the two, as both actions carry different intents and consequences. I'm not against the depiction of any type of crime/criminal behaviour in fiction, it's just fiction after all. But I definitely have a problem with sexual misconducts applied to a character I'm supposed to either cheer or feel for (not talking about CC in particular, I don't really know what to expect). It normalizes a behaviour we should never normalize ever.

That being said, I think I'll probably wait until the show is either over or at least further in its airing period. I took a big 2 year hiatus from BLs and have approximately 10000000 shows to catch up in the meantime! 😆 Thank you for sharing your opinion!

Like the comment after yours said, the issue is not the depiction of sexual violence in a movie or a tv show, it's the way it is treated. If it's not treated with the gravity it deserves, I do have a problem with that and regardless of if the rest of the show is awesome, it's definitely going to ruin the whole thing for me, unfortunately 😕
That was what I was the most afraid of.

TharnType touched on pedophilia and gang-rape, not just sexual harassment. All of these are fine to depict in any piece of media, but the way it's portrayed makes all the difference for me. Sexual violence is such an incredibly dark topic to put in a supposedly cute and funny show, I found it honestly offensive and so harmful how it was not only treated with so little gravity but fully romantised at times. From what I read and someone confirmed what I was afraid of in a response after yours, that's also what's happening in Revenged Love, I just don't want to support that personally 😕

Yep that was I was referring to. Like you said, the problem for me wouldn't be the depiction of sexual assault/harassment but the way it is treated in the show. I get to a certain extent why it's popular and so many people are into that, after all, this is just fiction. But realistically, depicting these kind of things as non-issues when we all know rape and sexual assault ARE big issues and rape culture is sadly so rampant, I find extremely harmful and I don't want to support that. That was my biggest issue with TharnType as well, but ngl I could write a whole-ass essay on every reason why I hated it 🙃

This was adorable and for an Nth high school background show, actually very interesting and original! I will say the show would've benefited from more episodes and longer episodes though because the concept is really good but not nearly dug deep enough for me! Still an excellent watch though!
