It's interesting how Han Hyo Joo is supposed to be this Korean working abroad ( her childhood self as well as…
I find the Japanese acting style for female characters rather, endearing. Makes a nice change. And then there's the opposite side of the coin, Nanao, who I find hilarious.

I really liked it much more than I thought I would but the ending was weird to me. I’ve lost count on the number…
I thought the ending was amusing. It summed up what I'd been thinking about the couple and their good-natured acceptance of the obvious about themselves.

There are a multitude of dramas and series being produced these days. In principle, having a wide variety of content…
Check out Fated Hearts. It's quite a bit different from the rest. The script kept it interesting throughout. Excellent acting, especially from FL.

Just watch first 10 episode and u will notice how naturally they fall in love. 90% of is because of their character,…
Yes. I'm further into now, and I'm very impressed with the screenplay. It's highly original; everything makes as much sense as the genre allows; the action scenes happen for a reason, mainly as a means of developing the characters' relationship; excellent pacing; all of which makes me feel like everyone involved in the production talked to each and knew exactly what came next and where the drama was going. I don't always feel that when I'm watching c-dramas with many, many episodes. And badass couple is right!

What on earth is wrong with people writing those reviews at the top! If you’re familiar with jdramas, at all,…
Same. J-dramas have their own style, and that fact should be appreciated and not just compared unfavorably with k-dramas. I love the collaboration. Another Korean actress who is fluent in Japanese and is great at quirky dramas is Kim Sun-ah. I hope she's cast in one soon.

highly recommend the movie Always (2011) with her in it if you haven’t seen it yet.
I haven't seen it. Thank you for the recommendation.

I've just finished ep. 3, and I can't imagine how those two are going to fall in love with each other, unless it involves a blood transfusion. Li Qin's acting in this drama is first-rate, though.

Title 18 Again
Is it as good as Go Back Couple (aka Confession Couple)? Because that drama is amazing, among the very best I've seen.

I have watched every one of Cheng Yi’s works and have supported him throughout his career. His discipline, professionalism,…
Thank you for your objective, totally plausible explanation which, frankly, has made me more inclined to watch this drama. Production companies that label dramas as romance when romance isn't the main genre are responsible for the bad reviews from viewers who were expecting what isn't delivered.

Shadow Love is wuxia, so they are two different genres, therefore it wouldn’t be a proper comparison in my opinion.…
Both FLs are female generals, and both involve martial arts. Why do you think LOFG isn't wuxia? Hope you enjoy Shadow Love as much as I did.

Just what I needed. Not chocolate, but a sweet, heartfelt story full of kindness and sincerity. And no real villains. Han Hyo-joo continues to amaze me. There is nothing she can't do. 10/10

It's typical to compare films/drama series that have something in common to each other. Critics do it all the time. Having watched both female general dramas, one after the other, all I did was compare the two, and on this Legend of a Female General's page, I prefaced my comment with "Unpopular opinion." And you're still saying that I haven't the right to post an unpopular opinion.

The Story of Minglan and The Story of Yanxi Palace were the two c-dramas that got me hooked on c-dramas. They are classics. I will look for other works by Daylight Entertainment. Thanks for the info.

I understand that it probably has to do somewhat with a centuries' old tradition from Chinese theatre/opera, and it makes perfect sense that historical c-dramas would carry on that tradition. I came to c-dramas via k-dramas in which there are many (MANY) fewer lengthy historical dramas produced, and the best of the film actors have been trained in theatre and film schools to use their voices as part of the acting process, so those might be the reasons why they so any necessary dubbing themselves.
