Her mother was not wrong in this regard. Take time and look and the whole situtation
Her mom has a right because your parents are responsible for your marriage and her mother is the one running the household if you don't want her mom to have a say then it should go all the way around such as dowry wedding rites and such. You're missing my point.
Can someone spoil for me? How far does her relationship progress with Yuan Shen and Lou Yao? And why do they end…
The engagement will end next week with Lou Yao. She will get with Ling Bu Yi but an incident will happen that will cause them to split and he'll have to leave during that time she'll get with Yuan Shen before her man comes back
I am really not liking Lou Yao. He is a sweet and innocent but he looks really like a kid. they should have chosen…
I like the actor they chose for him. I also like the character. What i don't like is them together not because of LBY but because he's a bad long term choice
the reason why her mom doesnt let her get married with lou yao is because the family is complicated but also because…
They keep excusing it like a small life decision that doesn't have consequence. Like imagine being married into a crappy family to a man that you don't love during those times with her personality and upbring
no, she said the reason in the trailer for episode 16. her feelings were clearly shaken by Ling Buyi i thought…
I share this same sentiment. I understand why she does what she does because of her past, personality, flaws, and age but it's like others won't acknowledge her flaws and wrongdoings because they love her and hate the mother which is very telling in my opinion. She's a walking contradiction and that's okay just acknowledge it.

If the mom had valid reasons, I would acknowledge it regardless of how I feel towards her or the ml. By your logic CSS should organize her own wedding and rites without anyone's help either even though her mom has to be involved. She can't

I understand why CSS did it I just don't agree with it. Regardless of how much mother dearest pisses us off sometimes, we should acknowledge when she is in the right and when our CSS makes an understandable decision but poorly thought out one. Picture this, she does marry him but can you imagine CSS as a "proper" wife in such a household? Do you think even if he loves her he could protect her? He's not even the main young master in his household I would trust Yuan Shen over Luo Yao

Yall keep applying modern values to the situation but forgot that her mother regardless of how we feel is supposed to make the decision when it comes to marriage. She also knows her daughter is would not last in such a marriage as she does not fall it to what the young woman of her time is supposed to be in that society. Her mom has been married twice she would know. Xiao Yuan Yi might be a rigid, strict, stubborn insensitive piece of work but she's right. Lou Yao may love her but what about his family?
At this point LY looks just like CSS's maid servant LianFang who does whatever her master tells her to do without…
This is what am saying!!!!! Everyone blames the mother but her mom has been married twice, Xiao Yuan Yi of all people would know a bad marriage when she sees one. CSS is an intelligent little girl but she has no real idea of the world. She sees Lou Yao but not whats behind him he is from an old scholarly aristocratic family CSS is from a military, uneducated and does not represnt the ideal virtuous wife that society and those types of families desire. I also don't blame CSS for her choice but it was not a good one. Both she and her mother are too stubborn to have a proper discussion with one another.
Team Xiao Yuan Yi all the way Lou Yao is nice but CSS doesn't know anything about his family nor is she fit for such a family in the first place I'm with mommy all the way on this one.
