Fact of life that good looks do not last very long. It is ephemeral. Indeed the shelf-life of cuteness is limited. So it is wiser to invest in other qualities and Xiao Zhan has got them: intellect, empathy, good manners, talent, etc etc.

Not sure I'd still be around to see him and follow his works in his 50s LOL but I am sure he'd still be a good person.

Such a coincidence that I am watching a JDrama rn titled "My Cuteness is About to Expire!?"

Nope. Xiao Zhan is still very good looking imho. Maybe less "cute" these days but definitely more handsome and attractive.

I am an "older" XZ fan and I started to admire him for his portrayal of various characters, his personality evident in interviews, his witty and sensible words. His songs (mostly ballads, low bpm) are also growing on me.

I am less focused on his appearance tho tbh, I have very little to complain about (I only wish to see MORE of him). Assessing good looks is very subjective but I like looking at XZ very much.

Thinking about my 30s (such a long time ago), it would be my "peak" years in terms of aesthetics. When I truly gained full confidence in my own looks. I'd say 35-36 were my best years LOL. See here, XZ is only 31 and I am guessing even he has not peaked yet. I look forward to seeing more of him and his works in future.

It was a long weekend for me. Managed to finish this series in just 2 days. A bit cathartic for me, because of rl mommy-issues lol. Some scenes involving the 3 generations of women here really struck home.

But I love everything about it: the casting, the acting, but most especially the OST. I am looking for the music that they used here.

Not gonna find any romance here but it would have been superfluous anyway. This is the first time I have seen Yao Chen but I am an instant fan!

I strongly recommend this drama.

This show is unputdownable. I started this morning and I'm on ep 8 already. Loving this.

My 2 cents: Take breaks from TW. It's a cesspool. Each hate post is magnified over there. Whilst we can't control what they post about we can control ours and manage the way we feel. That FOMO is making us suffer. If we bask in positivity, getting mad is superfluous. Hang in there, Eri Aika!

@melancholia1 I beg to disagree with what you said about kitchenware. ZWILLING is topnotch. I like to cook and spend time in the kitchen but realized that XZ endorsement is quality cookware. I hope I could get my hands on them someday (they're a bit expensive, ngl). Maybe I am his target market here, lol.

I also run marathons but never trained with Li-Ning shoes. All my friends wear Adidas, Asics or On but I am getting noticed with my new pairs of Li-Ning runners. Again, perhaps I am Xiao Zhan's target market here, even though I bought the shoes even before his recent livestream.

Tl;Dr I like it when the actor I admire endorses products that I find to be useful and of great value for money. Yes, his dramas are taking so long to get aired but I also live a busy life. I can't just sit and do nothing.

I will cook with Zwilling (soon) and run in Li-Ning as patiently as possible. :)

I started to watch this up to ep 5 when it first aired in 2020 but had to drop it because, well, life. :-|

Vacation-mode right now, meaning I have some down-time so I'm picking it up again. So far, so good, only 2 eps done but I am really liking the FL. Li Qin is charming. I find that I am equally rooting for ML/Wolfie. I like their chemistry, too.

A bit tempted to skip the parts where there's crying but let's see where this goes.

I don't have the app but the YT Youku Show channel says it premieres in 10 hours, 14 Aug 2022. After all the daily hyping, they moved the date? I don't get it. Ah well. I'm great at playing patience. Ha ha.

I discovered Nathan Scott Lee (Lee Seung Hyun) via Call Me By Fire, he was so charming and talented in it. I look forward to seeing him as Captain again because he had led his team very well in that show.

Liu Yu Xin is an excellent dancer as well. I expect that the two new captains would bring fresh HOPE in this season. :)

Will miss Yixing for sure tho.
