I will add another beautiful conversation from the last episode that breaks my heart:"朱颜,学法者。。。学法者何为?…
Xièxiè!!!
Thank you for the full quote. Much appreciated. :)
I am learning Mandarin on my own and my progress is slow. But this line is very inspiring, I will keep practicing. I am very willing and motivated to learn!

"With great power..."
In English that quote is a cliche now, and trite.
Thanks for providing the quote in Mandarin above: "to save the world from danger" is indeed the great burden and responsibility of powerful cultivators. They do good things because it is the absolute RIGHT thing to do. It's how you know they're really the good guys.
I’m glad Da Si Ming turned out to be good overall. Heartbreak no 1 💔. Also, surprisingly glad Xuelu could…
Same. I didn't look in the mirror, I ran straight to work. Barely made it on time. A colleague asked if I had a rough night.
I just grunted and said I died last night but crawled out of my coffin just for him, LOL. He had nothing to say about that tho. I'm still grumpy, ha ha ha.
Oh one more thing. Shi Yu has more game than Shi Ying LMAO. He's doing everything right in the romance department…
Not easy to get game when you are stuck in the mountain. Our priest did not have enough practice socializing much less courting/dating. SY may be a genius spell-caster but you are right, does not excel much in the romance department.
hope this helps https://twitter.com/xzhan1005/status/1376054987504111621?t=rx2wlouBlU3u8bhhqNCoNQ&s=19
Thanks for the link. What stands out to me is that he is a GENIUS. Nothing much about his appearance is said, unless we judge the artist's illustration for SY. I agree with the OP that XZ is beautiful and ethereal here. Makes sense that he's a young teacher (their age gap is tweaked in the drama) -- even at 18yo supposedly, he just looks mature because he is a serious person and had not had a lot of chance to socialize outside of the mountain.
If you check the profile of those who are dropping dramas, you can see that they have given better ratings to…
My take: I can make up my own mind about the drama. I also do my due diligence and watch before I rate. I do not know who the "influential people" here on MDL are or how much clout they have, but I am personally not swayed by influencers or be one with the hivemind.
Personally, I will watch what I want even when no one else is watching it, LOL.
I follow this page though for some details I may have missed about the plot. Or to clarify some concepts lost in translation (for example, what is it that they refer to as SY getting to the "real estate" -- is he acquiring more land,ha ha!). Or to get details about the cast (who voiced the dragon?).
I suspect that reasonable people who scroll this page could tell whose views make sense, and which comments are superficial and shallow. I mean if I wanted to see beauties, I'd watch a beauty contest or watch a fashion show, no? It is what it is though: we either continue, pause or drop.
I mean show us that you actually WATCHED the show and make valuable comments. Not just diss the appearance of the FL. The casting is final, nothing you can do about that right now. So if they decide to drop it, that's also on them. No FOMO.
I am watching the latest episodes daily though. Just glad that I am working from home until mid-week. So far it's been really good and enjoyable for me. This is the first Xianxia that I have watched this far. :)
Can anyone with familiarity with xianxia drama explain the real state Shi Ying is attempting to ascend to. Will…
I wondered about this, too. All that talk about "real estate" got me scratching my head. I presume it is related to a higher realm of cultivation, like a next level, right?
We can not tell you if you will like it or not. You have to give it a try for yourself. People have different…
Hello @TaianD! :)
I am not immersed enough to know the scriptwriters in CDrama yet.
But in the past I have joined movie clubs (showing mostly indie films) where we would watch several films in one day and discuss afterwards. There was an admission fee per screening, too, and you can't demand your money back if you don't like it lol. So you have to speak up during the discussion, Q and A session to spew your dislike in front of all those who watched.
No hate downvoting then since feedback giving was done face to face, you have to state your criticisms in a reasonable manner especially when the director is on hand to answer questions.
I miss those days. Now with streaming services, watch parties are also online, and over here on MDL, virtual interactions are not comparable to reacting/discussing face to face.
Anyway I am here to enjoy the new episodes. Tomorrow, it's back to work. It'll get really busy so I will catch up when I can. Happy watching! :)

(It might have been another comment here, perhaps, so sorry can not find source now)
I looked it up in the dictionary: 影子 means shadow (I am not a native speaker so corrections are welcome).
Finished watching before 3AM, was up and ready for work by 6AM. Very little sleep but I am satisfied. :-)
No need to rush home later, I can work overtime LOL.
If you have no patience for verbose responses or prompts for clarification, then it is not easy to take what you say seriously here.
Go for brevity then. Not hyperbole.
Or learn other words (not just overuse "clingy", if that's really not what you mean).
I understand now, I will look up the different tiers/levels. This is my first Xianxia. Thank you.
Thanks.
