I can't believe how much others are hating on this drama, to me it was a real gem and the plot twist broke my heart. I guess maybe it had to do with, for me, a very real world shared experience so I really empathized and understood on a deeply personal level.
I watched this twice only because i forgot how horrible the ending was. I'll put it in spoiler tag
So the very final scene, she and he are having the true love kiss test, they are supposed to officially start dating tomorrow, he's going to pick her up from work ect. She walks away from him and gets run over by a red sports car, we assume it's driven by SFL. At the very last frame he's holding her in his arms crying and her hand is limp but then grasps a falling flower petal insinuating that she survives this.
The true love kiss test is that if she kisses her true love and three minutes later hasn't transformed genders then that means they are true love. She was counting down the seconds to see if she changed or not. She hadn't told him about it and she didn't know that SFL had already told him that FL changes gender via kisses, so she was just waiting to see if it happened and if it did then she'd reveal to him...but that was ruined by the red sports car going for the kill shot.
She doesn't confess her feelings until episode 19 and he doesn't respond until episode 20. They have ONE kiss…
I would have prefered a TINY bit more romance and to not put the kiss at the very end of the series. I don't mind having to wait 10-12 episodes to see a couple get together, but 19 episodes before a confession and 20 before a kiss when the series is only 20 ep seems a bit stretched out.
I do agree that their romance developed very naturally and that was nice, but would have liked a little more. That's just me though.

I think he was probably only 14-15 when they filmed, super adorable.
