I was confused by that as well because the story didn't explain it but I'm guessing not everyone turns into a…
yeah..I guess it has something to do with genes and antibodies? the only thing time i can remember them mentioning it was when gwi-nam woke up and we saw the video of the teacher explaining that the virus can become self aware or something like that, it was never explained how or why. and yeah, i definitely see that side of it and cheong-san would be the kind of person to sacrifice himself, but it still left me bitter bc he was my fav character
cheong-san's death was so dumb. i hope he's still alive (possible season 2???) like if nam-ra could stay alive and herself after all that i'm sure he could've too; what i got was that essentially nam-ra, eun-ji and gwi-nam were all immune (more like self-aware, less aggressive but still stronger and blood-hungry and all), the only reason gwi-nam and eun-ji kinda went 'rogue' and killed people was bc of their shitty personalities. (so i don't get why cheong-san sacrificed himself, it didn't have that main character hero impact i think they were aiming for) also agree on some of these comments about on-jo, she was always crying and didn't add anything to the story...

I have this very small hope left that they didn't break up. I know in the novel they do and the trailer obv showed them saying they broke up but still. Why would Pat say that they would fight alongside each other to then break up??? I don't buy it
