I want to watch this because I just finished Happiness and I like the ML in that a lot. But I want to see him in something contemporary, but I am jonesing for a bit more of him. How's the romance going in this so far? Worth jumping in early?
"Some fans even held truck protests against Lee Seung Gi and Lee Da In's dating."
Are you f**king kidding me??? I am equally shocked, impressed, and fearful of that sort of fan craziness. Seriously, my own fangirl deeply admires their devotion, dedication, and method of expression when feeling wrong. But...the grown woman inside me questions their sanity and my own for being impressed at all. I am going to have to re-read this again because I don't know if I totally understand what is going on here.
@Shannon So you've never watched "Coffee Prince"? It's a true classic you can't possibly skip as a k-drama fan!…
Welcome to the truth club!
Coffee Prince is on my TBW list, but it's a gender bender and that's a trope I don't really like. Plus it's an older drama and those are kind of hit or miss with me. I'm on the fence about it, so that's why I haven't watched it. I may give it a shot. I just need to see him in a romantic drama with an age appropriate woman first.
edit:
There are some older dramas with Hyun Bin that I need to watch. I might make an effort to try to watch a few older dramas, but the TBW list gets longer and longer every day..lol
Glad to see there are people who agree. I did push through Goblin but it was very tough. The episodes were ridiculously…
I know that too, but I still can't get past thirty minutes. It's makes my skin crawl, and I think a lot has to do with the way the FL acts. She acts like she is 12! Which just makes it all the worse. I can't even watch it...like no lie. Touch my Heart is next on my TBW.
Goblin was my first ever K-Drama, prob around 2018. (A time that i only watch animes)Is one of these dramas that…
lol...I just want to see him with an age appropriate woman. Though check him out in Seo Bok. It's a pretty decent flick. Also in Silent Sea??? I think. it's a recent one on Netflix.
Honestly, the age gap grossed me out too, but I pushed past it because it was supposedly “amazing”, and it…
Thank you!!! Everyone has been like, push through it to the end! It's soooo worth it! But I am not the type of person to eat nasty, stinky cheese just because you think its' good...lol
I am looking forward to this. Interestingly enough...I can't get into Goblin. The age gap skeeves me so bad I can't get past the first thirty minutes....and I know it's good. I just can't do it. So I've only ever watched Gong Yoo Train to Busan, Squid Games and Seo Bok. But I desperately want to see him in a romantic drama with an age appropriate woman. So this has been added to my watchlist.
This was cute and very entertaining. I also found the relationship between the leads to be mature and balanced. It was nice watching two people acting like real human beings together instead of caricatures. I also appreciate that the humor derives from the acting and dialogue, and not from excessive slapstick and gags. The rest of the cast did great jobs, and the OST is cute. No complaints really, so definitely recommend.
Thank you again to the person who saved at least 30 hours of my life by pointing out this awesome movie in lieu of the 30 episode drama with sort of the same name. This movie is very funny and it's way easier to follow the whole gaming plot. I enjoyed the two leads in this. The ML is very easy on the eyes, and he looks surprisingly handsome with long flowing silver locks. Go figure! The FL is quirky, smart and funny. Phew...I feel like I dodged a bullet with the drama, so thanks again. 🖖🏽
