I still love this show but I felt underwhelmed by eps 13-15. I really hope the last two episodes bring it. It’s…
I felt the opposite. I was overwhelmed after all three episodes. There was so much that happened in such a short time span. Again, I feel like the drama would have been better served with 20 episodes so certain moments could develop and breathe. As it was it was like everything being thrown at you at once.
As I am reading through the book thread again, I really hope they end it like the novel and include a lot of the scenes from the book because some of those would be golden.
I wonder if the preview for episode 16 also included scenes from episode 17 since the preview for episode 14 did…
I think so. I am hoping this episode is devoted more to her life change and their relationship in happy times. Like I don't want to see any bad stuff until episode 17.
The real love triangle is with the Queen dowager and Deok Im lol. The Queen dowager really likes Deok Im…
I was surprised by the way they played up the Doek Ro angle, and that he was the one who told San about the book. I didn't expect that at all and was shocked. It was a good way for his character to end because he genuinely wasn't all bad.
The salt scene in ep 2 is one of my faves lol,the way he shouts at her to open the door and she opens it,throws…
That's one of my fav scenes. I'm going to do a rewatch because I need to remember the good times before the pain starts in. I'm actually watching episode one again and the different in tone from the last few episodes is stark. Plus, there's so much more I'm picking up on that some of the subtitles are more clear.
What the HECK is wrong with Deok Im!!!!! "We can't trust the King"? Did something happen in the previous episodes…
I only own one K-drama on DVD and it's Legend of the Blue Sea....though...lol. I've never actually watched the DVD because all the stuff is already on Viki or YouTube. So I don't know if it has extra stuff. I should probably watch it...lol

It makes a lot of sense explained that way. I really do hope they show some more extended episodes in the future. I'll have to keep my eye on Amazon to see if there is a blu ray option, yet right now the show is not listed on Amazon, so I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I really do wonder if the dialogue is right and if it'll change over time. The language is nuanced, so I understand it can have differing means based on context and whatnot. Because if felt like she was saying we can't trust him to look out for us...which is kind of true. He had a plan, but their lives weren't really his main consideration, but what his main consideration? That's unknown. Man, I just hope we get some extended episodes and director's versions, but I'm not really sure how that works if it doesn't get a blu ray release.
Anybody here will recommend it I think. ^^ There is comedy and it's actually well made for me, not too much, not…
The funny thing is I have one rule when it comes to K-dramas...I don't like sad endings. I will usually check how a drama ends before I watch it because I don't want to make an investment and be left all cried out because they didn't get together. But...with this one...history is the spoiler and it's like all those other stories. The Titanic sinks, and Queens get their heads chopped off no matter how much they were once in love with he King. If this wasn't a true story with some basis in fact, I probably wouldn't have gone for it. I am now very curious as to how they are going to wrap it up and how many tears they will try to wrench from me. I'm strangely hoping they keep some of the tragic scenes to a minimum because I don't want those moments to overwhelm all the good stuff from previous points.
On the same page regarding the flaws, and I'm wondering what they added thanks to the supplementary episode too.…
Junho gets a lot of props, but the FL is doing a heck of job eliciting those stares with her "rabbit eyes"....lol. Everyone of the cast is really fantastic. Tae-ho is my favorite, and even he surprised me in one episode. This is one of those productions where everything clicked and it's obvious. It's good on many levels even with the flaws.

I didn't like the way this was phrased, but I"m not sure if it's something lost in translation. All of the dialogue was really weird. I think she mentioned something about him being calculating, and this would have worked if it was shown that she somehow found out about him turning a blind eye to the missing girls a few episode back, but it seems out of context because she doesn't know about that, yet we the audience do. So you understand where she is coming from. I still wonder what the hell happen to that plot..I mean...I feel like it was just dropped with no resolution. Seems kind of weird since it's...child trafficking...weird.
Well, that might be the case based on the preview at the end of episode 15 when we see Deok Im in the bath and…
I really hope so. I just remember this scene in YiSan where he basically tells the servants he is going to bed with her tonight, so make it happen...LOL. I'd like to see an updated version of that because even in the old version it's funny as hell.
I think the reasoning for her constant rejection will make more sense when they show the change her life is about…
Well said! I think the reasons for her rejection aren’t clear but they will become more clear next week once all she has to sacrifice is shown. No more hanging with her friends. She will not even get a day off to leave the palace. No roasted chestnuts! Seriously, the girl gave up her entire life because she does love him. It’s beautiful and heartbreaking 💔 at the same time.
Agreed. It's not consistent. She saved up all this money for him. He'd been a huge purpose for her life, but he…
There was that brief comment from the king about building a new guard and her brother was in it, but he has to give that up too because she becomes a concubine. We might see him again, but the flaw was not seeing him at all during the year she left the palace.
Joint bath scene???
