When did he and Ren Xiao Ming get together/

I really like the young He Yuqiong. I saw him in Shine On Me and he is a really fun actor. And he's only 16! However, his older self was a shock to me. They could have tried a little bit more to match him up with an older character. But it is what it is I guess.

I totally agree with his decision. If I were his wife, ummm a big huge NO would be my answer to romance dramas for good ol' hubby. lol I just read about an historical figure who had two wives and yet rumor was he didn't touch either of them. It was in that time where it was before Republican but I think at the end of the dynasty era. I can also see him in a sci-fi.

I got to Ep 9 last night but at some point I had to go to sleep. ha

Good to know, esp after how she has been treated and her need to be a punching bag to everybody. sigh

Thank you to those who encouraged me to continue this drama because I'm on Ep 6 and that is one brutal episode for Xu Mi Yu. Yes I am now invested. Thanks again.

And stop calling someone's personal taste "nonsense" it's an insult and rude to that person. Be kind. But to view romance not being about kissing is rather skewed. But it's all good, it's not worth the trouble to continue to argue about it. You are you and I am me. BTW I would never belittle yours or anyone else's taste. And no I don't normally watch K-Dramas although many people tell me about all the chemistry and that they go further than C-Dramas. So hmmmm
BTW, one more thing, I have watched many dramas with a great plot, great acting, great actors, without the romance in it. But then the tag would be Mystery or Court Drama or anything else besides Romance. BC then fans are expecting just that, romance. Just sayin...

And that's ok. Same with me and Allen Ren dramas. Haven't seen a good one since The Blue Whisper 1 & 2. One and Only still stays with me after all these years. However, then I would watch his dramas after TBW and at some point they got too bland for me and no I am not talking about the lack of kissing. And I would drop them right and left. So see? The difference in each person's taste is what makes the drama world go around. ha

When I've read comments about PoJ and how it's blowing up in popularity all over China and beyond, the major thing mentioned is the hot chemistry and the kissing. lol If that Vyshu person didn't like it, then it's on them. They don't get it I guess. Same with the intimacy needed if the tag Romance is linked to the drama. One time I saw an article on YT where it was all about the dramas that don't have any passion or intimacy (kissing) and Allen Ren's dramas were named among others. Same with an article about actors who have the non-kissing clause in their contract.....yep he was named. I just can't tolerate no passion or kissing in a relationship. It doesn't fit. I used to love Allen Ren, my fave that stays in my mind that affected me greatly was "One and Only". But then he just got lackluster to me next to his FLs. And I couldn't figure it out until I heard he had gotten married and I guessed that that was why. smh

Think realistically, when you have a romance going on, well normally anyway, there is kissing within that relationship. Most fans, when there is a ML and FL and there is supposed to be a romantic thing between the two, they are looking for that chemistry with the passion of kissing. Why do you think that the most popular clips and BTS clips are about kissing? PoJ is blowing up right now because of the hot chemistry and yes the kissing. AND when there isn't that in a drama, it usually gets criticized for being too bland. That's what's real, baby.

I realize that, but my premise is that he needs to do non-romance dramas then. He's good enough of an actor that he can do scenes that do not have him doing kissing or romance. But they insist on putting that tag on his dramas and sorry but romance should have kissing in it or else it's not a romance.

Well when they put the tag Romance in it, than I really have an issue with it because it's not truly a Romance drama with him. ha
