I love this episode for many reasons. First, those glances, smiles and stares literally is chef's kiss. I notice…
I don't know about scars, but apparently he has a chest tattoo in the novel (I've just started reading it and that was in the first chapter xD)
About when LWZ laughed, I think it was mainly because of how the doctor called PS, as in, he said he'll become "crunchy" if he keeps up with his unhealthy lifestyle xD I think he was referring to his bones becoming fragile/brittle or something..it was a little funny ahah! (also this is just my personal opinion, but it feels like they cut some scenes there, maybe there was a part where he actually showed concern that was edited out...who knows π€·π»ββοΈ)
Someone mentioned that Zhang Xin Cheng lost a lot of weight for this role. I am assuming it's meant to fit his…
Yeah, he's mentioned it before that during the Justice he was at his heaviest! Apparently in that case he had to gain some weight to look more mature or something?! I don't know!! xD
Hopefully his future roles will fit whatever weight he's at ~
It seems like on Youku the English subtitles for episode 1 (at least) have now been updated from the previous mtl ones! yay! Hopefully the next episodes will soon follow suit!
As it should. The message is clear, watch it and donβt talk about it donβt stir controversy. There is a reason…
I totally get it tbh...but I'll still miss all the promo related things...I love watching behind the scenes videos but I'm afraid we won't get any here π₯² Also actors talking about their roles, etc. we'll probably get nothing in that sense..sad >< But if that's the price to pay to get the drama out I'll take it I guess π
maybe because drama lwz looks too old lol. lwz is supposed to be in his early twenties in the flashback. but yeah…
yes!! of course the ship is for their adult versions xD But it's still a little iffy to me.. normally I really don't mind age gaps, but with them (who don't even have such a big difference really) it's a bit harder because of the way they met, I suppose.. Anyways, it is how it is ahah!
I've already said this before, kinda..but with how they're showing flashbacks of teenage Pei Su interacting with…
No seriously, are they doing it on purpose!?!? I was just watching ep 8 and there was this scene where MLs were having a nice moment together, then sure enough they inserted a flashback with teen Pei Su!!! why!!! xD
I've already said this before, kinda..but with how they're showing flashbacks of teenage Pei Su interacting with LWZ it feels off to ship the two, despite them being both adults in the present timeline. I'd assume they had a similar relationship in the novel too, how does it develop into a romantic relationship?? Especially from LWZ perspective, that keeps calling Pei Su "kid" π€£π
agree.. watched ep 1-2.. zero hint of anything beyond 2 characters in a mystery drama .. literally zilch..China's…
I meant that romance is not what moves the plot forward. Of course I know the original novel is BL. But it's not the focus, and I've heard the actual romance doesn't start until pretty late...so what did you expect to see in the furst 2 episodes of this adaptation? π
I only watched the first two, but that whole genetic thing seem to have been added for censorship reasons. So…
I have watched 6 episodes for now and I'd say what you mentioned is still true.
Also the plot summary on youku has this part which I thought was relevant (it's MTL): "In the end, these criminal forces were wiped out, and the public also realized that genes cannot determine a person's good or bad, good or evil, people can overcome genes, people can choose freely, as long as there is hope in their hearts, even in the dark abyss, there will be a day (they?) will be back in the sun."
the subs are not too bad, it's pretty understandable for the most part, though of course sometimes the subs are…
I'm on the fence, because on one hand it's a pretty popular work, it should be getting enough hype to get good subs (at least at some point!!),
But also it's like they're trying to keep it as low profile as possible in China and that might affect its distribution overseas too...so I don't know!
I still think it's going to get properly subbed in the end, hopefully not too late though π₯²
How old are the characters supposed to be here?? Pei Su was a kid 7 years before the story in the present, as…
No indeed, he doesn't look 7 yo ahah! a tad younger than his supposed age, but it fits!
Both ML looked a bit older to me though (the actors are older, after all), so I was surprised when the 7 years ago flashback showed such a young Pei Su xD

It makes sense!
