In the drama, it is a mix of liking but also because of the benefits she did bring him. There is nothing he can do when a decree is set for Qin Wan's and Yan Chi's marriage. He is not so in love to the point that he will fight it.
In the novel though, the Crown Prince was a way more complicated character and had sincere feelings for Qin Wan. Shen Wan was actually supposed to be a Crown Princess Candidate before the Shen family's massacre and the Crown Prince did like Shen Wan then. Then he fell for Qin Wan too because she and Shen Wan had the same personality (and he was right; they are the same person). The Crown Prince would be a 2nd ML type character in the mains' relationship if they actually explored it in the drama and allowed his character to be like in the novel. The drama's Crown Prince character is a lot "weaker" and more of a coward.

Yeah, I think those bullet comments too got people rewatching the episodes just to read them because they are so funny. Whatever helps this drama to get more views is good in my book! Plus, the way this drama has been getting slandered by those marketing accounts have pique people's interest in checking it out so even more people are tuning in.
Some more good news about this drama: ads have continued to be added every episode (aka investors see the viewership and see the worth to add in ads) and it has hit at least 10K heat index 4 days in a row.
The coverups and corruption makes my skin craaaaaawl. These people are doing this to each other, imagine how they treat commoners/the people they are supposed to serve.

The Qin family hasn't seen Qin Wan since she was a child, Qin Liang (he himself was into medicine) then took her and went to the Medicine King Valley to treat her sickness for years. It was also there where they met the Shen family and Shen Wan became friends with Qin Wan (along with Fu Ling). Barely anyone knew what Qin Wan looked like. Shen Wan herself was also pretty secluded and used to dress in man clothes in the valley to make practicing medicine easier. Yan Chi's men also wasn't able get into the Medicine King Valley to get any witness descriptions of how these two girls looked like.

There were insiders who get to watch these dramas ahead of the time and they give repo about the drama before it air. For example for this drama, one repo basically said the cast is a visual feast, the mains have chemistry, and they find the palace conflicts more interesting than the cases.

Yup, I have plot points I side-eyed myself too in this drama and think certain things can be better but some of these surface level complaints are such nonsense because I don't see it when it is MLs having MC halo at max or having more knowledge/experience than older men in their lives.

It is already so rare to have a FL who is considered a genius already in these types of C-dramas to then complain about it when it does come along.
I rarely see these comments when you have these MLs who are top generals who have been fighting in wars since they are 10 in every other period idol dramas. Why is it more believable to have a genius ML in war tactics than a genius FL who is not only a prodigy, but who has also been trained/surrounded by that environment since she was young? Shen Wan/Qin Wan has been doing this for at least 10 years.
Not to mention in idol modern dramas where we have these young 20s MLs running businesses as CEOs.
At the end of the day, this is a FL-centric period idol romance drama, it is meant for the female audience to feel good especially if they self-insert onto the FL. People complain about "stupid" FLs all the time and when you have one where at least on the surface level, let us see her skills, you got people trying to talk about it being unbelievable. These are idol dramas, none of them are "believable".
