My favourite is definitely To my star. Where your eyes linger was also quite good, even though I didn't like some parts.
Indeed there is more chemistry between the leads in non bl Kdramas (The mains in beyond evil and the devil judge have a better chemistry comparing to many romance series for example).
However I will agree with only_benihime, that things seem to be changing. Light on me was a huge surprise for this year. It had a pretty good story, more episodes (16 eps with 25 minutes each) solid acting (for the most part) and the characters were pretty realistic comparing to other series (besides those first 2 super cringy episodes). It felt more close to reality rather than the overcomplicated stories that they sometimes try to fit in a 8 episode series with each episode being 10 minutes.
Nevertheless also portrayed a same sex relationship which was also a huge surprise and it seems that same sex relationships seem to enter in high budget series (Mine, nevertheless, the road: history of one). It is surprising enough that all those series came out the same year!
I also hope though that we will get to see an actual romantic same sex relationship in a high budget series, with more famous actors and more complex characters and plot, because so far it seems to me like pure queer-baiting.
