I never thought about it before, but you're so right! My relationship with his family is kind of like a YA novel! haha I love it!! Thank god it isn't like a Kdrama instead. XD His Brother Mike called me earlier to tell me that Chris was saying bad things about me like a four year old, so I called his mom to tell her to make Fish for dinner since Chris HATES fish. haha And she did. :D Revenge from states away is just as sweet as it is in person I tell you! I know Mike was kidding, but it was hilarious all the same. :D I've been wearing my shit eating grin since. XD Sorry, just had to share that story with someone. ^.^

I loved this article! You did an awesome job of explaining and had perfect examples! Very well done! I also have such a soft spot for most of the second male leads you mentioned, but like you said, they were always just missing that one thing that would get them the girl.

Two of his brothers grew up with me since his parents are divorced, so the siblings were split up when they were younger. When Chris moved here, I knew his brothers better, but we ended up dating. XD But that's why they love me more. haha He has four brothers and one older sister, but she's in England actually, and I've never got to know her well. Anyways, >.< He's been there for a little over a week, so it's been a while. I'll be glad when he gets home. :D

Haha I've actually never used Skype, but that's a good idea. We talk on the phone every now and then, but if he goes home there's a lot of people there since he has a big family, so it's always crazy. haha If I call too much, I end up talking to all my "brothers", and they always want to find some information to use against Chris. haha Then I get in trouble when he gets home because he got in trouble because his brothers love me more. Tabaka that's one of my favorite things about this drama! There weren't any of the usual gimmicks, so the characters staying true to their personalities was such a new experience, that I was never expecting it! I hope you keep enjoying it! :D

It was a pretty big hit, but it also had compete with Place Lockheart Jade, which is another portrayal based off the same book. Frankly, I didn't like that version much at all, but it was a huge hit in China. I didn't love the characters nearly as much, and the choices they made ended up making very little sense to me. It didn't even compare in my eyes. But the cast of BBJX is full of stars, so it was a hit just because of that right away. ^.^

I don't know! I've been looking forward to it as well because I love Liu Shi Shi now, but it hasn't broadcasted yet, like you said. >.< It's still supposed to air in 2013, so I think all we can do is wait and pray it doesn't get canceled or further delayed. :( It looks really good, and definitely sounds like a sweeping romance. If you ever find anything out, please let me know!

Anyways, I ADORE this drama! I didn't want to watch it because of the hair, but I PROMISE it is such an amazing story, and so well done, that you get used to it a lot faster than you think. Please give it a shot before you say you can't watch it because of that. I didn't want to, and now it's an absolute favorite. The best writing I've seen in a drama yet, and the character are so real. They're very true to their personalities and they drive the plot instead of just being fodder to continue the story.
Also, it's the best Chinese drama I've ever seen, besides maybe The Vigilantes in Masks, but they're hard to compare to each other. Anyways, please give it a chance and I promise you'll fall in love. ^.^

OH, and TMTETS and TPM are sad (and you'll recognize the child actors in the beginning of TMTETS from Missing You!!! <3 Which is just so fun, because they were actually filming both dramas around the same time, so the contrast between their roles is fun to see. ^.^) and you'll cry a lot, but you'll also swoon and laugh a lot, so don't worry!! And like the said, their endings are pretty happy.

So far, out of my historical romances, TMTETS has the happiest ending. It's pretty much a fluffy ending. I think you'd absolutely love the drama honestly! It's just plainly beautiful to look at, and the story is pretty decent, not to mention the romance is awesome. <3 They actually have real kisses too, which is always a plus. It's a lot different than what I was expecting, but in a good way. I think I'll re-watch that next.
The Princess's Man is also really really good. There's a lot of drama, but my god can you feel the love the two leads have for each other in every scene they act together. The story is very Romeo and Juliette, but it does have a good ending, a little bitter-sweet (at least more so that TMTETS) but not enough to make you sad. I'd say watch these two for sure!! Amazing romance stories with the beauty of ancient Korea.
I'm definitely shocked myself that I loved the Chinese historical romances as much as I did as well!! I would have answered the same as you! haha I jumped in on a whim (And lack of compelling Korean historical romance dramas) and now I'm stuck. I can't say I like them in general, but the few I've watched have been very well done, but I've heard they're rare when it comes to Chinese dramas. haha
I think the biggest issue I have with the majority of historical romances is that it's so rare to find the fluffy/happy endings. Someone always dies or it's so bitter that it breaks your heart. TMTETS and TPM were the only exemptions so far.
