I read the manga a long time ago now...is the drama as good or better??

YES!!! Thank you!! *hugs* This is the one man I said needed to be on these lists and hasn't been yet! I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks of him first when the word "Villain" is mentioned after seeing Gaksital. Best tragic villain I've ever seen. Best in depth characterization of a villain I've seen, and just the fact that he can make you cry for him (or whom he was) after all he's done makes him so much more fit for the number 1 spot.

Ah, so you get a little break! :D That's good! I don't know your grandma, but there's a lot of action, so just a heads up on that. And other stuff...but I REALLY don't want to say much more because so much of it god smacked me and I want you to have that same feeling!! XD I just don't want your nana to get upset.
I'll have to give Love Rain a shot and see for myself, but it sounds complicated and slightly annoying with pointless conflicts, but that's a completely uninformed opinion and I will eat my words if necessary, besides I trust your judgement. ^.^
I was shocked to read that about JGS too!! I don't know if I could really see him in a historical drama, so we might be safe. I think it would be really weird. Then again, I never thought I'd adore Joo Won as a masked hero either. XD *Mind still permanently in Gaksital mode* Please let me know when you're starting it, if you can! I'm so excited!!! :D
I never did start lljimae. hahaha I got really side tracked by Gaksital (because I was just checking it out, thinking I wouldn't like it, and I was planning on starting it after I made my judgement of BM >.>;) I think I'll start that after I move on to a fluffy romance so I can have some separation between two fighting dramas.
I read on LDs wall that your brother's surgery went well! I'm glad to hear that! :D

Discounting my current obsession with Gaksital as a drama itself, I haven't once seen an article with Shunji in it yet!! To me, he's the most utterly terrifying villain because you see the whole process and decent into evil madness he goes through, and how much his crimes and sins escalate. I don't think there's been a villain so far that made me feel the amount of distaste, repulsion, and complete horror that he did. I really think he needs to be on at least one of these lists!!
There's also the mom in Bachelor's Vegetable Store that is terrifying in her own right because she's literally clinically insane, which definitely ups the ante.

The past stuff was my concern for Love Rain, but to be honest, I read quite a few bad reviews for it, and then just kind of put it on the bottom of my list and forgot about it until last week. XD Since I (and you too) watch a lot of romance dramas, I got really tired of the same old same old, and was looking for something new. Just a slight dynamic change, maybe a dysfunctional heroin or a romance where I'm not constantly questioning if they actually like each other. (Which is why Me Too, Flower hit it on the nose for me. XD) Or conflicts deeper than "my parents don't approve". -.- Love Rain seemed a lot like "my parents don't approve because they loved each other once". Is it better than that?? I think when I watch it I'll do the same as you and skip the past day stuff via dramabeans. I looked into JGS's next project, but all I found out was that he was looking seriously into a project but couldn't talk about it. He's been working on his singing career in Japan lately. He also said something about how the show "Love Rain burned him" O.o Apparently he's not all that well liked in Korea!! That's news to me since I like him. I guess that's narcissism. hahaha >.<;

Oh geeze, well I'll keep him in my thoughts, and hope that his after surgery healing goes well and he'll be able to play without any pain!! You're stronger than I am to keep going to work with all that going on, but if there's one thing, it's that mayhem can't last forever! XD Haha And that's always the best trick to making yourself get out of bed. Put your phone on the other side of the room. I also have a really old alarm clock that makes the most annoying sound in the world that I use when I'm overly tired. heh

God do I ever have a massive love affair with BM. I've watched it three times now, and have been watching MVs on Youtube, and now I'm starting the fourth because I just can't move on. I've tried!! Going back to old favorites isn't even possible right now. When you start to watch it, let me know, because I'm going to watch it with you! (not on a chat though..because I think it's a drama that deserves your full attention.) The actors and the story is so good that I do honestly think that part of me believes that they are real and out there somewhere. When I hurt, laughed, sobbed, and cheered, it was honestly out of feeling what they were going through. *sighs*

Oh and BM is set in the 1930's, so it's actually really fun in the beginning to see some of that era. Don't stress out too much about it being a period piece. It's done really well. ^.^

Yes! I'm super happy with the progress my foot and leg have made after the surgery!! My foot doesn't hurt as much either, so the biggest plus, besides the itches you cant scratch XD, is that I've been able to ween off of the meds. It's nice to feel more lucid. :P
Thank you ahead of time for agreeing to trying to be on my side with the female lead in BM! :D I want to talk to people about her, but the few I've talked to about BM don't want to hear it. (Although, there are only like 3 of them, so it's probably over dramatic to "everyone") I'm watching it again for the third time, and it just keeps hurting worse each time, in such a good way! I tried to move on to another drama, oddly enough it was Love Rain! haha But my heart actually HURT when I thought about leaving that world. I couldn't do it. Ugh, idk what to do with myself.
I haven't heard anything about JGS's 2013 schedule, but I'll look into it and see what's new. I'm looking forward to his new drama too! Although I haven't seen Love Rain yet, so I'll have to finish that first.

I'm glad you get to spend so much time with your nana! (still jealous over that name) It was an okay night with the in-laws (not legally, of course, but we've known each other forever and just decided it made things easier XD) they're nice people and act like children half the time, so we all got drunk together. XD haha I'm free anytime next week at night, so whatever works for you two! :D Awe, thanks for asking. My leg is awesome, it doesn't hurt anymore at all, and I'm able to take the brace off later next week after the doctor does a quick check. My foot is still healing, but I went to the doctor earlier this week and he's happy with progress and says in another week or two he'll cut the cast and go from there. Either it'll be time for therapy, or I'll wear a brace for a while.

Good!! *does happy dance* I'm excited for you to watch it!! :D I'm a little bummed though, because everyone I talk to seems to dislike the female lead (But they still adore the drama and it's their favorite, so that tells you just how good it is) but I absolutely adored her!!! So when you watch it, please make an effort to look at things from her perspective at times and think about what you would have done differently, because I don't know anything that I would have done differently in the situation she was in. I know that's a lot of shady talk and is selfish, but I don't want to be alone!!! hahaha I even ranted at LD about her because she doesn't like her either. Like two pages of ranting. >.>; Anyways, I promise you'll come to love Joo Won! I even put on my news feed that I couldn't believe he wasted his astounding acting ability on Level 7 after Gaksital. How the heck could he do that??? I think we should have watched Gaksital first, but then again, it's a lot more surprising and fun to find yourself already in love with him before you know what hit you. :P And my god does he look good in this drama!!! <3

I really love You're Beautiful more than Ikemen Desu Ne, but I honestly did enjoy the Japanese version as well. Not as much, but it is worth the watch if you're a fan of the Korean version. Just like you said, you get to see different scenes and reinterpreted scenes. It actually made me understand the original a little better. Also, the ending in the Japanese version really made up for what it lacked!! It's exactly what I wanted for the ending of You're Beautiful, so I just pretend it happened in both. XD

ok, so I'm rewatching Bridal Mask, and I realized something that I missed the first time, but it adds more heartbreak. You know that scene where Kang San saves Boon-Yi and she asks his name, but he leaves without saying anything, and he runs his fingers over hers? I don't know why I didn't even think of it the first time around, but Kang San probably loved her too. She was with him when she was with Kang To also, so of course he knows who she is. I never understood that before. But he can't say anything because of who he is and how he has to pretend he's mentally retarded. Wow. Kang San had such a gigantic burden.
