I will HOUND you until you finally start it because that's what friends do when they know what's best for each other. hahaha :P I promise that you will love it. I have no doubts whatsoever. I just decided to check it out the other day, and five minutes in, I was in that world and already sitting wide eyed and yelling at the computer, cheering, and laughing all at once. After that, I didn't even leave my computer to get water for like four episodes. I actually think that right now, it's my favorite show out of pretty much anything I've seen, including American cinema. That's how powerful it was to me. No over exaggerating either. I'm actually going to go re-watch it right now. If I had one wish, it would be that I could watch it for the first time all over again. Such an awesome ride. And BM has romance!! So don't count that out. It's not a romance drama by any means, but it's there. I refuse to give you any spoilers though. None. XD
And i'm glad your eyes are all healed!!! :D :D I can't wait to see how it turned out!!! 7 tomorrow works for me, so I'll be there, and I asked LD just a second ago if that works for her too. ^.^

I wasn't sold on her until episode 4 either, but she gets a lot better and I swear you'll fall in love (hopefully XD)I hope you get more time for drama watching after this weekend! :D
DUDE! YOU NEED TO WATCH GAKSITAL!! Seriously! It's now my absolute favorite drama! Out of every single drama I've watched, it's by far the best in every single way. Even objectively speaking, if I take my emotions out of it (Which is damn near impossible because you love every single one of the main characters) it's the best. The OST is PERFECT, the acting is better than anything I've seen in a drama, (seriously, it will knock your fluffy socks off) the story is so perfectly and expertly written and carried out that even if you know something is going to happen, you still doubt it or are surprised when it happens, it's very fast paced, and I wasn't expecting that, there's awesome, epic, beautiful action in it, and it really has such a deep and hard to swallow message. That there are things bigger than what you wanted for yourself, and sometimes even if you love someone, you have to fight them for something bigger than yourself. Ugh...it's so damn amazing. Don't get me wrong, you will cry and scream, but you will love every second of it.

Hahaha You are completely justified in saying "I told ya!" You're actually justified if you want to rub my nose in it and keep saying it every time I gush...because it is that astounding. I marathoned 14 episodes yesterday before I had to stop myself because I though I might die from the emotions. I also don't even know how to explain what this drama does to me or just how amazing it is...and how tragic...and beautiful...and terrifying...and funny at times, and omo...there's just not enough words in the English language, and I have a feeling there isn't in any language. How do people even write a review after this drama?? Just thinking about what I've seen so far makes me a step away from sobbing, laughing, and screaming all at once. (One thing I hold onto when things get too complicated is, damn doesn't Joo Won look delicious in a 1930's suit???) hahaha It's the only grounding point I think. XD GAH! So much has happened, and it's only going to get worse (which means tragically better, but still worse) isn't it???? I'm going to feel half dead by the time this drama is over, I just know it. Thank you again for talking me into watching this a while ago! You're the first one I thought of half way through episode one!!

And now I'm scared to start episode 15 because I took a break and I don't know if I can do it yet!! Which I think is the first time I'm avoiding a drama because it makes me feel too much and I love it too much. XD
I'll stop myself.
Congratulations to your brother!!! That's awesome!! :D :D I'm also glad you get to see your family too! Even though it can be daunting when there's a lot of people to entertain, seeing everyone is nice once in a while! :D Hopefully your eyes will be all better by then so you can rock it and show off! :P
Yes! BVS has both!!! :D Eyecandy, romance, bromance, and a swoon worthy male lead!! ^.^
And anytime on Friday works for me! :D I already had to gush all over LD about BM because she recommended it and I had to give her the chance to say "I told you so" (which she did, and enjoyed XD) So we just need to set a time! ^.^
Did you watch more of City Hall? Did it get better for you? How are your eyes feeling today?

The female lead in City Hall is definitely different from most, I love her. <3 I used to not find her all that attractive, but she really grew on me, and now I just find her beautiful. I think I might go back and rewatch just a little bit of it now that you're talking about it!! :D
And...big news!! I started Bridal Mask!!! It is AMAZING!! (Read previous statement in a typical announcers voice) XD I mean...It is nothing like I expected, and everything I expected...at the same time. I'm not sure how to even put into words how much this drama really is just astounding. I've gone through every single emotion you can in just four episodes, and I marathoned 14 before I just had to stop myself because I didn't think I could breathe anymore!! It's been a long time since I've been so involved in a drama. I mean truly involved, like you can't move away an inch, you end up ranting and screaming at the top of your lungs, sobbing because your heart is actually broken for them, and excited because you want the good guys to kick ass!!! I think the last drama for me that evoked all of that was Missing You, but Bridal Mask is even on completely different level. I'm terrified and excited every single second, because I just know this drama is going to leave my heart ripped open on the floor, but I'm damn well going to enjoy every second of it. I don't even think I'll be able to write a review for it because I have a hard time finding the words to even describe what it's about...because there's just too much. Man...I can't believe I haven't already seen this, but at the same time, I'm relieved.

omg omg omg!!! *Flails around* I'm on episode 7 of The Bridal Mask...and it is AWESOME!!!! I mean i've cried buckets, curled into a ball, and screamed so loud my room-mate threw a shoe at me, but it is so amazing!!! You were so right about this drama, as was everyone else who recommended it! I can't believe I haven't already been watching this! GAH! That scene where Kang To finally takes up the mask and kills that evil cop dude from hell was...awesome and horrifying at the same time. And how they interweave everyone, at least the leads so far, is so beautifully tragic, very well done! I just really needed someone to share the awesomeness that this show is! It's like a mega roller coaster ever single episode, and as terrified of it as you are, you can't help but want to ride it all over again! haha
Ok, I'll stop myself! How are you?? I heard we're doing a movie night this Friday?

and then she just starts acting like she literally in mentally retarded, because there's no other explanation for it. I'm glad I watched it, I really am, but I don't plan on watching it again, and you know I'm an avid re-watcher. The bromance in it really saved it though!! When I look back at Level 7, even though I didn't hate the female lead at the time, I actually am starting to when I put everything into place. I also just really don't like that actress's face, as horrible as that is. I can't move past it.
And yes! I'm game for a movie night!! :D It's been a while and it sound fun! I'm open Friday night and Saturday, so whatever time works for you ladies. ^.^
I'm glad that they gave you ointment, but I wouldn't want to wear it to work either! haha At least it's healing and it'll last forever. Think of the eyeliner savings! O.O (of course that's a given, but thinking about it myself, it really seems worth it! XD) If you start BVS let me know! (although I'm not encouraging not watching City Hall either XD) Oh, there is quite a bit of time in the drama dedicated to the starting of a store and selling vegetables, but it's fun to watch and the bromance is, again, cute. They somehow did a perfect balance of the career and romance, so you don't feel anxious to switch from one to the other. It just flows nicely.

haha I adore BVS so much, and wrote a review with a little better synopsis of the romance part, but I noticed a lot of people didn't like it, but I think it's because they didn't understand the real motivation behind the characters, or have no experience with people that really are just clinically insane to the point that they really don't feel any empathy towards those that they hurt. I think when you watch it, you'll understand what I mean. I love real characters, and while the drama does fall into the "Why the hell doesn't she just say everything?" issue, it's also more understandable than in most dramas because of just how insane the villain is. It's not perfect, but I love it and am still re-watching it!! XD
I think that I really got attached to City Hall like 4 or 5 episodes in, when you really get to know the characters and the humor becomes a little less slapstick style. So don't let that stop you, since I know you're not a fan of that either. The character get more witty, and the female lead becomes smarter too! Don't give up!
Time Between Dog and Wolf's female lead is so much worse. I don't even know why her character was there except to add pointless drama. If they had developed her more, or gave her a better personality, it would have made a lot more sense, but her personality is just all over the place.

most of the drama, but towards the end...I kept giving her chances...and every time...every damn time there just was no excuse for her level of stupidity. When you watch it, I think you'll know what I mean. But it's a fun watch and the male lead look darn pretty while he's kick ass. :P
I just finished Bachelor's Vegetable Store and omo am I in love with it!!! The synopsis they have for it is so laughably selective and slightly misleading that it kind of makes me mad, because I never felt the urge to watch it before, until I wanted eye candy and gave it a shot...and while there's eyes candy, the story is just AWESOME!!! I don't think I really ruin anything by saying that it's the female lead who is actually the one that does messed up things. Not so much that you start to dislike her, but she's a very flawed character, and it was so refreshing to see that in a drama. And the mom type in this drama is actually mentally insane...so it brings a different style and feel to the evil mom gimmick a lot of dramas use. I just think you need to watch it, because I could gush all day about how this drama really was just awesome. Gah! And the main couples romance was so amazing to watch!! They had a ton of chemistry, and it's one of those romances where you know they both love each other, or at least the guy does forever, so it doesn't rely on that infuriating plot device of "Will they come to love one another" bleh. I'm done. haha

I think how I tell a really awesome drama from and ok drama apart (in my opinion of course, which may be shady on some things) is if I find out how the story-line unfolds and what the major events are, do I still get excited to watch it? There are dramas that I've spoiled for myself by either reading re-caps or jumping ahead a few episodes because I'm too impatient to find out, and if I really love the drama, I'll go back and watch everything in detail just to see how it got to that later point. If the drama lacks..personality(?) or energy, or just a well chosen casts that interacts well together, I don't really want to watch all the middle stuff. I hope that made sense. So, in Baker King, I read some re-caps for later episodes and I just didn't really care to watch all the in between nonsense, and that's when I decided I wasn't being fair and put it on hold. haha This post is going to be a long one, but since it's your fault for having a needle next to your eyes and needing healing time, you just have to deal with it. :P
Time Between Dog and Wolf had a pretty good ending. It was SLIGHTLY ambiguous, but not enough to really make you wonder. Just enough to make you think they were trying a little too hard. haha And I didn't mind the female lead for

haha I'll respond to the City Hall comment first! The hair is horrible in the beginning, but a few episodes in it gets a lot better, and once she becomes mayor, it gets a ton better, so just hold on. and his character is different than Dokko jin, but I promise you'll fall in love anyways. :P
I'm glad you had something to watch while your eyes are healing though! I don't know what happened, or why I'm all fascinated again, but I beat my drama slump with a nail studded baseball bat for the most part.
Oh ouch! I can't imagine having scabs lining my eyes! Did they give you any kind of cream? At least it sounds like they're healing pretty fast, and it's great that they numbed the area before hand. You're one strong lady to be able to go to work too! I'd have been such a baby and said heck no. XD I'm excited to see how it turned out!! So, selfishly, and because I care about ya, heal faster so I can see it! :P
To be fair to Baker King, I was barely into episode 10 and YSY character had just been introduced for a few episodes. I guess I just lost interest.

You've read a lot of manga I haven't even touched yet! I just started looking through a list of CLAMP's work, and there's quite a few. I guess I enjoy fantasy, but not so much science fantasy, and some of those turned me away because when I was an avid manga reader, I didn't give them a chance.
Since 1999?? You're far stronger than I am, but I suppose now it's kind of second nature to be waiting for Neon Genesis Evangelion. Kind of like how I say I want Skip Beat to finish already, but I know when it does, that part that waits for it won't know what to do anymore. XD
haha! I read through your profile and giggled at the fact that I love Ha Ji Won and Horikita Maki when you hate them. Who is the other one? Can I ask why you don't like them?

Like the heavy accents in the first 6 episodes stopped me from connecting with anyone because I just wanted to punch them in the face with a shovel, or how when they grew up, I just didn't care for them because YSY's character is a little too much for me and I still wanted to punch him in the face with a smaller shovel. So I just decided to put it on hold. XD
Then I went to Time Between Dog and Wolf! I finished that, and it was pretty darn good, well worth the watch, except I met the first female lead that I've ever wanted to die a brutal death. I even rooted for her until the last few episodes, where all of the sudden it was like..ok...somebody just shoot that one. Yeah, right there, that stupid looking one. XD haha I'm cranky today, so dramas are getting less slack. But it was still good, and I did notice some scenes that it felt like Chity Hunter copied right out of it. XD

I now have so many dramas in front of my face that people want me to watch, that I'm interested in, so i'm having a hard time picking. I think I'll be starting lljimae now though. You have to let me know how The World They Live In goes!! If it ends up sucking you in, or if it just stays serious all the way through.
I didn't think you'd get your tattoo on Friday!! So it turned out cool??? And yeah, I can imagine they'd want to do two sessions! I'm so excited for you! I want to ask if it hurt worse than a regular tattoo...but I don't think you have another one? How did your mom's turn out? Did you go with the standard black? (I'd assume so since it's for life and all. XD) Is it going to scab over or do they give you a cream for your eyes??? (I used baby rash cream. haha But I'm pretty sure you can't put that in your eyes) I want to see pictures when it's healed!! :D
I prefer happy chocolate coated sundaes with oreo cookie crumbs on top, but sometimes if the drama calls for it, I can take a little less oreo and a little more peanut. XD
I actually put Baker King on hold on episode 8. Not because it's bad, but because I'm just not sucked in enough to care about anyone yet. Which I should, because a lot of stuff has already happened, but a lot of things have stopped me.

It is!! Luckily I found Basara after it was already done, so it was nice to marathon that, but now I feel like i'm always waiting for Skip Beat, and things are getting really good, but it take forever!!! >.<; I don't think I could handle anymore than one. haha I know this isn't the site for it, but what's your favorite manga?
Kaikan Phrase aka Sensual Phrase. Although the manga is adult and pretty explicit at times, and the anime was…
It's definitely a series that would need a more liberal producer and director to do it justice, and while I've seen a few Korean dramas that haven't shied away from the romance, there's not nearly enough of them to be reassured. I think it would be awesome as a TW drama! I haven't seen Vic Zhou yet actually, but now I'm curious, so I think I'll have to get to watching MARS soon. And yeah, Japan would probably make it too light and fluffy I think.
