Why is there a young Xie Lian? I don't remember there being a moment where Xie Lian is a child in the novel...
I won't be surprised to see a younger Xie Lan, since him, Qi Rong, Mu Qing and Nan Feng, their relations go back way before his 1st ascension. Also, I am thinking, they might want to show his relations with his parents when he was a child, since there are mentions of it in the Novel... We'll see. I just want to see it soon enough:(
I was watching the video the donghua page shared on weibo for the lantern festival.. And I was thinking how after reading MXTX works and watching the adaptations, I'd like to travel to China.. During a lantern festival for example... 🏮🏮🏮
Beijing Shadow Play Troupe has collaborated with the TGCF donghua to create shadow puppets...Traditional chinese art taking inspiration from TGCF to create a shadow play... I am not surprised.. MXTX IS inspiring... 🎨
It is the author's opinion that GYY is XZ's best role. This is said in her perspective. Some may like him better…
The Wolf was filmed before TU, by the way, even if it aired after. I don't see how it was possible to miss this.. And even if I don't remember XZ's exact words, he never said he learned acting during the wolf, but when talking about an earlier dram than TU (may be it was the Wolf, but I am not sure), he said he learnt what it IS to be in a drama, etc.. which is a complete different concept than learning acting.
An actor learns during his whole life and with every role, especially an actor like XZ, and if you understood the contrary from my post, then, I'm afraid, you read it wrongly
I cant stop listening to follow song it so good 🤌🤌🤌
This song has a lot of character. Not only it fits perfectly, but it imposes an atmosphere. When watching the first time, only when I reached the ending of episode 1, under Follow, that I realized what I was going to watch. I love it!

"A Road to Calvary, or how a Moose Caught a Goose
Tochigi Nishi High School. Spring, final, graduation year. A crucial time for Japanese, the last cry of vanishing youth, a time when, according to all rules, a miracle should happen. Or else, life is wasted. And a miracle does happen. Belatedly, covered in cherry blossom petals, like a storm sweeping everything on its path, Kiyoi Sou bursts into the life of Hira Kazunari and his classmates.

I suspect that the operator, the director, and the editor weren’t intoxicated any less. Special thanks to the latter, who misleads the viewers so skillfully, that, after trying to figure out in vain as to who’s the moose and who’s the goose in the story, a viewer finally understands, that the only goose in the story is himself.

Since we are on a page of a perfect romance, I wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day❤️ As a gift, I translated part of a beautifully written review about the drama, because, as soon as I read it, I really wanted to share this with everyone. If it was in English, I would have just shared the link, obviously. This is only the beginning. Hope you'll enjoy.
Apologies, I haven't read the whole thing, but did a word search for XZ, since his picture was on the cover...
I am going to be frank, I don't read guides.. I did, years ago, and then I realized that they resemble too much one another. Citing dramas and shows isn't interesting, since we have filmography for that, and simply saying I like this or that isn't adding any real value, because I know my taste my differ.
On another note,I'll disagree with the Author thinking that GYY is XZ's best role. XZ is always absolutely great, I loved him as GYY as I loved him as Tang San, as I love him on every stage. But, the thing is, he was so absolutely phenomenal as WWX and the role was so absolutely incredible, that I don't think the roles he had afterwards were 'better'. And they didn't need to be. An actor can be perfectly good in one piece and in another, without any need for the two to ever be compared.
If someone didn't know XZ and had to discover him, I'd start by recommending CQL, even if the drama is older than Ace Troops and DC. The reason? Because after CQL, they'd be bound to watch the rest. And it's after CQL, that the fans offered him the Red sea of love..

How could this be an open discussion if you don't want to understand that I never misunderstood your post? I apologize, but you are pushing me to tell you, that what you wrote wasn't that sophisticated, was it? I never pushed my opinion about Kiyoi on you, but insisted on the fact, that I didn't misunderstand your post, but disagreed with your post. Interpretation depends on a person's understanding. And therefore, there's nothing surprising in the fact that people are going to understand the characters differently.. Yet, this seems to have taken you by surprise.I'll stop here.

You're speaking of repetitions, when up until now, you still don't understand as to where I disagree with you. He didn't realize anything later, because from the very beginning he didn't want anything different. In your post you mentioned that 'artists can only get idolizing love', saying I misinterpret you, when I tried to explain to you that this is EXACTLY where I didn't agree with you from the beginning. With your DEFINITION of idolizing love and what it means for an Artist and for Kiyoi. People do not need to use the exact same words to understand each other. And it's one thing to disagree with someone, it's another to cease to understand a point of view. Lastly, If this is repetitive for you, then all you have to do is to stop replying. it takes two people to discuss something. You are writing a perspective, I am writing another, for people to read different perspectives. If you have a problem with it, sorry, not my issue.

You said you didn't have a problem with someone disagreeing with you, but you seem to have:) I didn't misunderstand your post. And it's not about your English, neither it's mine:) I'll tell it clearly one more time. You mentioned that it was ironic for Kiyoi to want to become an artist because he wanted something opposite of what he wanted as a person. However, I am trying to tell you that Kiyoi's speech when he said he wanted to become an idol didn't mean that he wanted to be 'superficially idolized'. There is NO IRONY in him wanting to become an Artist, because he wanted the same thing as an Artist as he wanted in his life (TRUE feelings). You are misinterpreting Kiyoi's speech and therefore you think there is irony in him wanting to be an Artist, when I am explaining to you, that there is no irony in it, because I interpret differently as to WHY he wanted to be an idol. Also, if what you said were to be true, it would just mean that the Author wrote a non-credible character, and I don't think you realize that. You need to accept that I didn't misunderstand but DISAGREE with you. I told you also that we have very different understanding of the characters in general, without going into all the details. And since you are kind of ironic in your post above, you shouldn't mind a little irony yourself?:) Yes, it's not your language that's the problem:)
Tbh the first 2 episodes r not to understand but to feel...if u feel confused then start the second episode from…
My advice wll be not to miss anything when watching. The thing is, the filmmakers do things for a reason. They worked 2 years on different scripts and chose to start the drama like in the novel, for a reason... You just need to watch with the right mindset and that is, that, you can't understand reasons behind events, if you don't know as to what happened in the past. Continue where you left off and do not miss anything. You'll start understanding everything soon enough...
There are films in this world that are great but might not be for everyone. But if I am trying to get you to continue untamed, because it doesn't belong to this category. It's both amazing and is for everyone. And if you think of the statistics you'll realize what I'm saying. You might not see as to why everyone loves it from the beginning and conclufe that you just have a different taste. But that'd be wrong, because the love people have for this drama didn't come in episode 1. And it doesn't mean that episode 1 isn't good. It just means that there are developments, progress, transformation, twists and tons of surprises ahead that you can't imagine now.
A little about my experience...I don't usually check descriptions and tags when watching dramas... But for some…
"The always absent-minded Hira was considered harmless and was not bullied. Instead, he was treated like invisible air. Yama-chan, who occasionally played with him until elementary school, joined the soccer club, suddenly became refined and now pretends to not know him when they pass by each other in the corridor. Finally, he became invisible even in Yama-chan’s eyes. An invisible man.

If you want you can google translate the official page to read about the songs, and also check the other pages of the site about the cast, etc.
